Tech Support / WA + VMware... Black screen issue

Hey :)

Well im still trying to install wa on linux... now using vmware (emulating windows xp) and i cant make it work...

In graphics advanced options:

When i select direct draw 8 or direct draw 32: Black screen when i start worms
When i select direct3d 7 : it works but awfully slow
When i select direct3d 9 software or shader: ive an error and the setup reset to direct draw 32

Can someone help me? I think the best option is direct draw 32 (if i can make it work)

Well my idea was not just linux problems. I was thinking about, for example, share ways to download music, running games, chat clients, web browsers and learn about other distributions... but if you think seems too exaggerated a whole board about linux, tech support will be enough.

Hi everybody, I just realized that lots of the wormers here are or were linux users, my idea, if you guys want and MI approves to create a "linux board"

To discuss about distributions and softwares, ask for help and talk about the ways to play worms on linux...

What do you think?

I really like XChat in linux and pro snooper and wheat snooper are too laggy (well, wine is too laggy)...

Can someone explain me if is possible and how? i dont know if there is a channel or not... thanks :)

they do, if you assign an appropriate file association, which is quite easy

I suck discussing about technology :P you win... btw how do you do that? right click>run as executable?

2nd: Go to /home/(username)/.wine  folder
3rd: Open user.reg and delete worms armageddon log
4th: restart

Hi guys :D

I want to reset my worms config (everything in options>advanced ingame) because i did something wrong there yesterday and the game does not work anymore... Im in linux and using wine...

Im pretty sure vok hated me in this game :P ive lost 1 turn thinking its vok's turn and the next one ive shoot one of vok's worms and one of my worms (losing my turn)...
