This cup will be moved to the knockout phase next monday.

my experience with playoffs/knockout cups is that "we should have no problems getting our games played" is by far no guarantee that the games will actually be played. Pre-arranging a day/time to get your games played makes that chance much higher.

Shoppers were never about being able to use the rope well. Shoppers are about being efficient with the weaponry you get, it's about luring your opponent into attacking the wrong worm.

Of course bad luck can hit you at any time, but the same is true for any other scheme. Chicken mentions an excellent example; Guardian was the player with the highest shopper rating by far. If it were just a luck scheme, that would not be possible.

On the other hand, would you want to have a moderator who purposefully pisses people off? One should expect a moderator to behave

Alright, keep your pants on! I don't have W:A installed here, so I can't check the games myself here, but I'll get on it when I get home.

I don't know who exactly proceeded the groups, but you can't expect mods to check up on every game whether they've been played or not, beer. All they saw was crash having won 2 games and played them all. Of course that would lead them to advance crash.

The chat in his game against inza suggests a wrong replay/manipulation of results. His game against Doritos suggests he was playing WxW, which definitely isn't the scheme of this cup. But I don't want to make any kind of decision without seeing the games personally.

Alright, I'll just post the deadlines for each round

Deadline for the quarter finals: February 1st 2010.
Deadline for the semifinals: February 15th 2010
Deadline for the finals/bronze match: March 1st 2010.

I think these times are not unreasonable at all You may use the first week of which round to find your opponent on msn/snoop/irc/icq/whatever, but if you're in the second week and you haven't found your opponent: Use this forum or use the PM function on this site. In case of the latter, don't forget to send me a CC, so I know you guys are doing your best.
