We will, start is looking good, the stream was success even though we have lots of tweaking to do and whats really positive is that everyone seems to be willing to help out. Hopefully this will bring our community closer like it used to.

Been asking peoples opinions in forums and the general opinion seems to be that they are more interested on default schemes than roping schemes because most of them are not familiar with roping at all.

What if we start organizing and streaming tournaments (daily/weekly/whatever) of default schemes (Aerial, Elemental also.. hysteria I don't agree with) with commentating, at least for starters. Later we could spice things up with Roper and RR tournaments too. So the commentating would be directed for the new audience when it comes to commentary, but naturally everyone can tune in.

We can only pick and choose one stream at a time, but we I suppose it's not a problem, try to choose the most interesting game.

Basically how popular the streams become is about choosing the most audience friendly schemes to play (we can even tweak them to make them more attractive) and the SKILLS of commentators.

Orange showed this cool tweak where you can draw on the screen at the same time the game is going on so it would really help people to understand how the tactics and weapons work, flying trajectories and stuff.

AND, to make things more clear players should use teams with their Wormnet name as the team and also use Worm1, Worm2, Worm3 etc.. as names, makes it easier to follow and explain some tactics like worm advantage.

Any ideas? Suggestions how to make it work etc.? Who would got the time/passion to commit on this? Naturally we can switch commentators around but we should make timetable or something about it.

So the player from the finnish pc forum I was talking about was called xAIFx if it rings any bells. He seemed to know what he's talking about but I can't remember him, probably cos I was taking a break during WL times.

I asked him if he would like to help to spread the word, let's see.

Well I'm hyped up and thinking about the big picture, but I realize we need to focus on small steps.

The hing about development is that I'm actually willing to pay for them to coding, aslong as they are up to it ofcourse, I'm going to talk with them as soon as we, as community figure out  the best product possible to make eSport as a possibility.

When it comes to Team17, it's just like any business. once they see value (media coverage or dollars) "suddenly" the interest peaks again. They probably won't make big bucks out of selling WA anymore, but if WA hits on the eSports scene big, it will help them out in their future games = value.

Thinking outside the box and working really hard is the way we're going go make this.

We'll see how this turns out, I won't quit that's for certain, it's been my dream for years, only regret I have is that we didn't start doing this earlier when eSports boom was at it's peak (but I do believe eSports will be the future), well Ze Germans saw some value in Worms back in the days.

I don't even want to say this out loud but even if my big vision fails, atleast we attracted more (who knows how many) new players to this lovely game of ours.

I'd love for you to make an english version of the Big Tutorial with your sexy broken russian accent.

This is the official workplace for the upcoming "official" YouTube channel we're going to create as to promote WA. The more creative we can get, the bigger chance we have to go Viral and get huge interest. Most importantly let's keep this fun but still professional.

So far we're thinking of:

Streams from interesting and important games.
Good videos from WormTube.
Beginner-friendly tutorials.
The Big WA Guide which needs to be translated.
History of WA, what's the community like, what makes WA so great etc.
Getting personal with the players behind the screen, what it's like in the life of true worm-maniac. So audience can "relate" to them.

Keep them ideas coming. I still haven't decided of the name so name suggestions are more than welcome. I'm especially interested of the ideas how we could make a viral (hugely popular video) that's based around WA. Peja and Philie comes to mind as potential options for example.

A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.. and a viral video never hurts.

We'll see He knew about Worms League though. I just can't think of anyone else but my memory sucks anyway.

Ok so I found out that one of the forums I posted the advertisment thread to is an old pro Worms player from Finland and he's actually moderator of that forum (murobbs, husk). I asked what his nick was and waiting for the answer.. I'm guessing its Voltage. He said he loves the game.

I'm going to ask him to support the gam by making a bigger deal about it on the forum. It's the biggest PC and gaming forum in Finland with shitload of members.

Yeah, he basically gave barman the win by giving him the best hide to get to the top 1st.

He was probably scared of the fact we have another SD wep, even though we didn't, after barman missed the homing I just said "np" on the chat casually hopefully to play some mind games on him.

T17 actually has lots of mind games to it. There's lots of traps (not talking about mind games now) you can use when your creative enough.

After watching those games couple of times, both clans made quite many mistakes.

People definately need to watch these games, especially the last one.

Most of them were finnish viewers as I advertised on some big forums I'm part of that are interested in gaming, other people advertised too, and it was done only 1 hour prior to the start, would be lot higher if we advertised earlier.

When you love something, you just simply want to do it and funnily enough on some level I feel that WA just simply does not get the attention it deserves. Someone just has to take the first step and see the possibility instead failure.. atleast try, that way you don't regret it later.. I fully believe that we will get an e-Sport event happen but if its not ment to be, then at least we helped to grow the community and most importantly have fun while doing it.
