Speaking of which; I didn't want to open another thread for a question that was probably asked time and time again. Is the IP showing issue been resolved? I mean when you play without a proxy and pretty much everyone in WormNET can see your IP if you're hosting... That's been bugging me since I started playing.

General discussion / Re: Influential Wormer?

Who is/was the most influential wormer in your opinion?
Dario was like a legend from the old days and I was very happy when he came back. Komito is the boss of a clan I love. Korydex is a phenomenal player even though I didn't know him before 'db. Albus too. And Rafal for selecting every team so nobody can join, followed by his spam of "XDDDDDDDDDDD". But the one I respected the most was Bytor. He was like a mentor, the real reason why started improving myself a few years ago. I couldn't even rope properly when I used to spectate his matches, then he said "just play with me, you'll not get any better by watching". He was right and I made giant steps forward thanks to this. We also played board games and shopper together, despite him hating it (to be fair he was fairly drunk that day). To know that he recently passed away was... I don't even know how to put it. I didn't know him in real life, but I did promise him a beer if he ever came in Italy (he said the same in the chance I traveled to the states). I understand that it is dumb to say these things now, that it's disrespectful to mention him in this case, but I didn't want to hide it either; this is a good community all around, though... I just wanted to say the first names that popped into my mind.

i sold my heroquest around 2000 on ebay for like 80 bucks.
bad idea, not only because it's worth much more now, but because i should have just kept it.
my favorite is arkham horror.

Quote from: Senator on May 19, 2021, 06:07 PMGloomhaven is my new addiction and as weird as it may sound, it's wonderful both in single player and in multiplayer. At first look the price is steep, but considering a campaign can last from 100 to 200 hours (not counting unofficial scenarios, random scenarios and side scenarios), I would say it's well worth it. The dungeon crawling, the gamebook feel, the deck building and many more RPG mechanics are truly well done.
In no particular order: Puerto Rico, Power Grid, Agricola, 7 Wonders, Age of Empires III
I haven't played any of your top 5, Memox.I've played Mage Knight once and it seemed interesting but my friends didn't like it.

Cyclades, Dix It, Game of Thrones: Board Game, Caverna, CATAN, 7 Wonders, 7 Wonders Duel, King of Tokyo, Chess, Ticket to Ride, Betrayal at the House on the Hill, Zombicide and maybe others that I forgot now. I also enjoyed playing Terra Mystika the only time I played.
I also like the scheme Board Game, specially sbs maps + schemes, Gnork maps + schemes too, and some others I don't remember the nickname.
I like Board Game wormy adaptations too, also called "Table Game" schemes. One of my favourites is Worms Chess by sbs. But there are many, like 4 in a row, 5 in a row, Ludo, Quoridor, etc.
Neat! I've never heard of Worms Chess, it seems like I really need to try it.

Was always a big fan of HeroQuest - I backed the revival on Hasbro Pulse last year. Very excited to get the set in November, if all goes to schedule.
HeroQuest is great and I'm very thankful for the revival, however (as far as I know) there won't be an adaptation for European users, at least here in Italy. I don't want to give my money to scalpers either, so unfortunately I'll either have to pass or just play it on Tabletop Simulator

PROs
- Great cuisine
- Beautiful, almost mystical landscapes
CONs
- Health care is laughable, it's way more likely you get killed or get your life ruined by a dumb doctor rather than a menacing hooligan
- Burocracy is slow and ran by literal manchildren
- Television is a great mirror of our society: stupid, naive, incompetent
- People are generally dumb as hell, those who aren't have either long gone away to another country or are hiding from the rest of these animals

Search your replay folder for 'grenadeguy'.. I'm pretty sure he created this scheme.

Yes that's it! I didn't play the Grenadeguy version, mine was a bit revisited (we didn't have 5 lgs that's for sure) but still... That's the one. Thank you very much!

Schemes / Does anybody know this scheme?
November 25, 2020, 11:51 PM
It's very strategic and I had a lot of fun with it some time ago, but I don't know the name. Here's some vague memories about it:
- Power 1 for every weapon
- You start with pistol only (can't remember if you had utilities. Maybe limited chutes? And limited jetpacks with very little fuel?)
- One crate per turn (if i remember correctly)
I could rewatch the previews from my folder but I have way too many games and I don't remember the last time I played this scheme

Gaming Central / Re: Good Old PC Games?

Yo, just like the title of the thread implies, does anyone know of any good old PC games?
Lately I've been playing old LucasArts point&clicks, Maniac Mansion and Day of the Tentacle to be exact, and I've been wanting to play some more older PC games as I LOVE the aesthetic of them (and feel that they are MASSIVELY underrated)
Anyone have some games they'd like to recommend?
Since you liked LucasArts' graphic adventures (and I hope you played the best ones too, that is Monkey Island 1 and 2) I really recommend you to check out Broken Sword (not the Director's Cut though, the original for ScummVM). Other than that, it really depends the genre you're looking for...
For example, if you like FPS I can recommend you these old school masterpieces: Duke Nukem 3D, Blood, Deus Ex, Strife, Doom, Quake, Heretic, POSTAL 2, Shadow Warrior, Powerslave, Unreal, Outlaws (the latter is made by LucasArts too btw).
Platform? Rayman, Sonic The Hedgehog, Crash Bandicoot, Pac-Man World, Banjo Kazooie, Ratchet & Clank, Jak and Daxter.
Horror? Silent Hill, Resident Evil, Obscure... But now we're going from pixelated country to low-poly town so I'll stop.
