The point of this topic isn't "guess who".

the point of this topic seems to be to shift the responsibility for someones life from the inner circle (yourself, family members, friends) to the outer circle (online community) which is quite insane. for each case like this, i could mention 3 examples of people finding help in our community during a rough time in real life. the intention of this topic might be good, but in the end its nothing more than to surrender to the old myth of games being responsible for your actions in combination with some weird neoliberal "work is everything" pathos.

Afina seems unstable to me, I wouldn't even buy an apple from Afina.

she looks great and seems to be cute, furthermore she is incredible skilled in intermediate. i would trust her my life and money. btw could you borrow me some euros? afina told me she needs a new car.

Hides are as overrated as happiness or sex. But big maps in BnG 2 vs 2 games counter the abuse of the distance rule by teleporting your first worm to the middle of the map while leaving the opposite team with 1/3 of the map, which is almost nothing on normal sized maps.

lol those maps are quite a common thing in BnG nowadays, seems like Kaleu has been inactive for too long.

No one insulted anyone here, except darkz when he started calling ppl idiots and fags out of nowhere. Weird act for 30 y/o guy.

This community is alive and will be as long there are these kind of dramas happening. That's why most of us come back. About competivity - well, that's a bit harder to dig. Not much friendly pro's on wnet to show a way for newcomers. They all moan about league dying, but no one seem to care enough to bring some new members. Quite funny.

lets face it im not a good player, but i had the privilege of being around people with an insane knowledge of this game.
if i had to pick the people who impressed me the most (in no particular order) it would be:
allround:
KRD, darkz, anubis, random00, barman, mablak, chicken23, ropa

specialists:
lacoste, komo, free, HHC

underrated widely skilled players:
gabriel, kaleu, korydex

competetive players:
daina, (insert huge gap)       , people like almog, lukz, sbaffo, lalo and so on.

if anyone of these people (and the ones i forgot to mention) states that nowadays skill level does not challenge them anymore, it is legit. telling them they are wrong is like walking straight to the zen master and tell him he does not know shit about ball. it is an flat out insult towards their knowledge of this game and the effort it takes to get there, furthermore its disrespectful.

that moment when "why did you stop playing WA" turns into "free league enthusiasts insulting german WA legends"

Sorry for offtopic, just curious. Why did you include the legend's nationality in there? Why not simply "WA legends" ?

good question.

i was looking for the most stupid title to describe the situation.
"free league enthusiasts insulting german WA legends" sounds much more ridiculous than "free league enthusiasts insulting WA legends" because its more detailed.

that moment when "why did you stop playing WA" turns into "free league enthusiasts insulting german WA legends"  says more about the current state of competitive WA than chelsea being #1 overall player, useless big maps warning rule discussions, and cfc winning this league for 2 straight years, altogether.

The only solution for this is what i already posted. Set map size warning to 0 (always warn) and it will always display the map size. However its not really convenient because you always need to click on the thumbnail, BUT that ways it is ensured that you checked the map size.

doing 1 click looks more convenient to me than checking thumbnails though.

just for avirex:
The map is something that has to be agreed on by both players/clans. If you host your pick and your opponent doesn't want to play on the first map you pick, you have to change the map. Try to agree on a map with your opponent if he/she/they disagree with your first pick.
If you (the host) don't change the map when your opponent(s) says he/she/they don't want to play on that map, then your pick will not happen.

If you're not the host, clearly, you don't have to agree with the map. We don't want an unending fight about the map though: suggest your own map to move things along. If you are being unreasonable with your own map request, then the host is entitled to a free win because you'd basically be refusing to play his pick. Make an effort to agree on a map. If you light up, then that means you agree on the settings (scheme and map). If the host refuses to change map after you request another map, remind him of this rule. If he still refuses to change the map, then there's nothing more you can do. You can quit the game. If the host reports a free win, just make a thread on the complaint forum and attach the chatlog from the game lobby (in your User/Logs folder).

this announcement gives you the right to refuse big maps. if someone tries to trick you into playing them, you are free to quit.
