WW, the main problem is that most newcomers are not clear with the etiquette that the WA community had for so many years. Instead of ripping on them, we should rather show them the way to go.

Neither do I like SB, gives the site a bad name.

OK seriously, ban this guy.

This is bad sportsmanship, also spam. Do whatever but please make him disappear!

Or simply banned people could still reach the Complaint board? ;)

But I didn't know he was back. In that case, you cannot.

Even if you had the Free Win, your opponent would have a week's time to claim the game to be played.

You somehow forgot to mention that he actually came back and wanted to finish the game.

1. I can not.
2. Even MonkeyIsland who is able to do that will not, I can assure you.

TUS Discussion / Newsletters
February 24, 2010, 07:38 PM
The main concept:

1. There should be 1 or 2 PR managers on the site (so managing advertisements). These people: should have decent English skills, big knowledge of TUS and should be clear with the upcoming updates.

2. They create a newsletter a few days before the updates actually take place or it might be any other time. When they are done, they save the English version. This is the part where the translators become important. Each of the translators get a notification of the newsletter and they have exactly one week's time to translate the texts into their own language. They may only save ready texts. They save it, and it's ready to go.

3. When the deadline counter is at zero, the newsletters are sent automatically, no matter how many languages it got ready. Each user of the site gets it in his/her own language (when possible).

4. The first newsletter should be received by every single user of the site: those members who registered but don't pay attention to the site or maybe forgot about it will be reminded about it.

THIS is an example how it would look like.

Feel free to comment, suggest, hit the applaud button next to my karma. :P

That is a useful step, I really like the idea itself! Nicely written post.

Question: will these warnings be shown in one's profile? I would like if they were shown on the forums, like removing these (in my opinion) pointless ranks like Full Member, Hero Member and the stars, and instead putting a Status or Warnings text there and showing the status of warnings.
