So, according to that, Random00 would have over 13000 overall points with the old system.

For my snarky comment, the release date of TUS2 gets pushed by 2 weeks. :D

I'm almost sure you are lying right now and scratching your head, saying "where the FUDGE this bug could be, damn!" and you just quickly edited that image with Photoshop, just to seem more professional.

TUS Discussion / Bug with profile graphs

Take a look for yourselves. The numbers are somehow messed up, showing a lot more points than there really are. Haven't found a pattern to what options are related, but overall points seem to be messed up, showing 7000 where 5000 should be shown and stuff like this.

Please take a look. :)

I don't have 8600 points, only 7000.

EDIT: also, just noticed, I haven't played 1300 games, only 1284 overall (bottom right corner says "First 1300 games").

TUS Discussion / Re: WN suggestion

Well, this topic has come up a lot of times in the past, due to people being pissed off by avoiders and other reasons as well, that's just the one I remember from the top of my head.

I cannot find these topics, but there have been plenty of pros and cons and either TUS decided not to implement such feature(s) or the discussion wore out, I don't remember honestly.

I am not sure if that really is a good idea, in terms of community segregation - as mentioned in that very same topic we have been reading on the Team17 forums. :)

That would most likely lead to newcomers being even more confused of the whole idea of competitions rather than getting closer to it and more familiar with it.

Besides, WormNET is completely different from TUS, that would have to be developed by the ones developing the frontend of WormNET, which will be coded with 4.0 patch and won't be touched sooner, unless some agreement is settled between MonkeyIsland and CyberShadow, which I highly doubt, but who knows.

Bye 77 points, only takes you 60 wins in a row to get them back! :)

I really don't think that is necessary, as a live setting is never going to happen, there is just too few of us playing for that to happen I think.

Would be nice to see how those who run TUS see these rules you were trying to establish.

Obiously, the hosting aid should be allowed...

I think this is discussed in the topic opened by Mablak, but anyway, I'll post here.

Yes, this should be a rule, as it changes the game. Of course, exceptions for those with disadvantages - such as Chelsea's condition of being partially sighted - should be given.

The whole point is the relevance, not the number of people wanting a specific feature. How many people want to read relevant topics to themselves? I think everyone. And also, noone likes to get thrown at a bunch of stuff that they don't care about or are not involved in at any level.

Sometimes users don't realize the greatness of a feature before it actually gets implemented so don't scratch this off the moodboard just because there are only 2 thumbups, okay? :)

Of course I know I am generalizing here. I think it is good to see the topics and only the topics you care about, for example if someone commented on a clan game where you played, but you miss the comment between 10 pages of complaints, "ae" comments on games, etc. I think you understand what I'm saying.

Filtering by username is also pretty clear in my opinion, there are some people who keep creating topics with 5 words and/or totally unnecessary, uninteresting, spam stuff. I would like to be able to filter them so I don't see the topics created by them in my own little unread list.

Of course the old unread list could stay for everything, this would be a "Relevant List", whatever the name. :)

TUS Discussion / Relevant topics and complaints

I would like to open a discussion about something that's been on my mind for a while.

Most users I believe, when revisiting the site, opens up the "Unread Posts" menu. If you haven't visited the site for a while, say, for a week, chances are that you are overwhelmed with a bunch of stuff that is absolutely unrelevant for you.

I am proposing a new feature with this in mind: have the ability to filter what each individual sees on this page. The basic structure of this would simply be a bunch of ticks that you can eaither turn on or off, based on your preference.

  • List each forum and have the ability to "unsubscribe" from that, for instance "Cups and Tournaments General" for those who do not in any way participate in those.
  • Have the ability to filter new threads by nicknames.
  • Have the ability to "unsubscribe" from game comments - leagues, cups, torunaments separately - and very importantly, have the ability to show comments only from games you are involved in! Could also possibly have the ability to include games in which your clan/community/clanmates/communitymates are involved in.

Now, for clan or community leaders, I think this might be a nice feature, to have a general view and see that maybe there are a lot of complaints about a member. Or if you are simply interested to see what remarks your mates are getting, whatever.

Now, there is just one problem with this (okay, one that I see - waiting for feedbacks :) ) and that is, if you hide the Complaints forums - which most of us would do I think - then you don't see if you are involved in a complaint.

For that and for other reasons I'd like to propose this idea: completely remove the complaints forums and replace it with a button on the games' pages. This button is only available to people involved in a game - or people whose clan is involved in a game (not communities, they are not competing) - and if you press this button, a little textbox appears where you can write your problem.

These "topics" should only be available to administrators and those who are involved: the players and clan leaders - whole clans in case of a clanner.

When someone complains about a game you are involved in, you get an instant notification via email or private message. This would remove the complaint thread from the public and in my honest opinion, would remove a lot of flame wars around the forum, which is like... good, isn't it?

Tell me what you think!

Well, the problem with all this - I didn't read your post, only the list and the first paragraph - is that you can never catch people using a not acceptable keyboard.

And, just for the record, how about disabled people? I'm not making fun here, I really do know someone playing worms who suffered cerebral haemorrhage at birth and his left side is disabled, I actually met him. Naturally, he cannot perform at the level any of us could under normal circumstances, that means he is unable to play this league?

How would you make up for that? By letting him not play schemes he is unable to play? How would you make people understand that and not simply quit on the guy? He wouldn't be able to play 80 games in a season as easily as we can.

Or would you make up for that by letting him use a program or a special keyboard? How do you measure what level of aid he deserves? Some people would start arguing that the aid he gets is too much and that now he has an advantage.

On top of that, how would you make sure that he really is handicapped and not making it up?

This was a real life example. What I'm trying to point out is that lately, I think the community is focusing on rules too detailed. I think most of the commonly accepted rules were absolutely self-explanatory and understandable and I don't understand where this over-detailing fashion is coming from.

I understand that some people - mostly newcomers - are trying to take advantage of the still very poorly written, overly-hidden rulebook, but is this the solution? I don't know. :-X
