Looking at Sir-J's turn, I think there is at least one second room for improvement. If he had managed to stop the timer while hitting the ceiling at the end of his run, he would have gotten 39.54 (0.02 better than Mablak's current record) - and that's with many non-optimal moves along the way. Unfortunately, sliding to the finish with the timer still going cost him 0.7 of a second

I don't get the point, Ninja did some really good shots in the game, I'd only say that he risked a little with some of his last grenades which were close to sitting.

Besides, there's nothing wrong with repeat. If I can hit my opponent every turn for 30+ HP with the same shot, then it's only his fault for being so reckless not to move away (especially considering that nowadays BnGs are predominantly played with infinite teleports).
