Hello every1. Sometimes I see people inserting big images and videos into shoutbox, but it's hard to see/watch them. I hope they will read this topic
1.When inserting an image that is wider than 200px use the following code:
[img width=200]http://image_url[/img]You can also use height=x if an image is "long".
To open a full sized image, right click on it and select "Open image in new tab/window".
2.Don't insert [ youtube ] video. Post a link instead. People won't watch videos in the shoutbox anyway.
3.Use spoilers to hide big content (or erotic images, or any images ideally):
[spoiler]Hidden text there[/spoiler]4.Don't use shoutbox instead of instant messages. If you want to talk with some1 else, then type:
/msg MonkeyIslandIt will open a "personal shoutbox".
5.If you are inserting some really long link, then you can use some service to make the link shorter, e.g.:
http://tinyurl.com/ I would not recommend to do it (some people don't trust such urls), but there are some cases, when it's a really good idea (e.g. huge google map link).
