My name on Wormnet is " CF-codex " maybe someone remember me.
2007 i stoped worms cos im getting bored of this game, 2009 ill played olympics and i was thinking about to come back 100% but i dont becaus i got damn lags ingame <- offline modus or online modus doesnt matter.

And i still got same problem, i delete worms and install it new <- still lags
Use Worms as Administrator or in Options Use Programm for.... Windows XP <Service pack 2>

Informations for u :

.I got Vista , using 2 TFTs, i got GeForce 9600 GT, Intel Quad Core 2.34GHz, Q8200 2. RAM 4GB. 32 Bit-System.

Most likely the video card driver issue. Try playing without the background and see if there's any difference.

ctrl+alt+del > processes > close the explorer.exe

after..

file > new task > search for worms armageddon.exe and click ok

this is a strange way xD

The problem doesn't come from a lack of "power". It's much more weird.

Anyway, keep proposing solutions, maybe we'll fall on it.

PS: This kind of problem sometimes leave from himself (but then come back anywhen).

I have the same problem on my comp, with ATI Radeon-smth, it somehow can't handle that background gradient properly.

Oh i forgott something to say, its not lagging since i have vista, i got vista end of 2008 and its begon after Olympics 2009 so dunno August 2009 ? I dont know why lags starts, i dont do anything ;o

I would personally get Windows XP, and it should work no problem...

Could install Windows XP on a separate partition yeah, but usually people have a reason for using Vista.. Mostly better support for newer gfx-cards and processors.

The best bet would be to join #worms on GameSurge (IRC) and ask CyberShadow or Deadcode for help, or go to the WA Support forum on the Team17 forums and state the exact problem.

First of all, try what MagiC said, try running the game and shutting down explorer.exe in the Taskbar (best is to run the game first, then minimize - only press ctrl + alt + del AFTER you minimized because the game will crash and you will remain in Windows with 256 colors and 640*480 resolution!).

The other thing you might try is this: go to the Worms Armageddon installation folder, find Tweaks folder and run TimerWorkaround_On.reg.
