Challenge maps:
Scheme File(s): scheme TrickraceInfLG

Description:
Finish this giant Trick Race as quickly as possible by completing all the marked tricks before moving on. In each trick the rope must attach to whatever points on the walls are marked with the same colour as that trick. Time is measured in the total round time, so feel free to crash as much as you like, it'll only cost you as much time as it actually delays you. Start at the start (near the bottom left of the map), and surrender when you finish the last trick and touch the finish (top left).

As some bonus incentives, anyone that beats an hour in this challenge will get their name listed on the map, and the winner will have their replay listed with the map (assuming that's what they want).

Replays of how to do the tricks can be found here:

https://www.tus-wa.com/files/file-46/ (first section)
https://www.tus-wa.com/files/file-44/ (second section)
https://www.tus-wa.com/files/file-45/ (third section)

You'll need low gravity in the scheme for 1 trick in this challenge.

Good luck.

Yeah I know that lol, I just think some of the names are flawed, some of them don't make sense, and some of them are wrong.
I agree. Regarding the new names for tricks, at first a couple years ago when people started naming 'new' tricks I just rolled my eyes at the kids that thought they were coming up with new stuff when none of it was new and most could be easily described with combos of existing tricks. But having made a trick race map, I find it's very handy having names for those interesting combos. If I'd had to describe all the tricks that could be broken into smaller tricks, I'd have run out of room in a lot of places, and I'm sure people would be far more confused trying to decypher them than looking up some single named trick. I did try to include a couple of alternate names for old tricks that got renamed, but really I figure it's the most popular and well-known name that counts, not the oldest.

As far as some of the inconsistent names and naming schemes in the map go it's mostly because I was too lazy when making the map and just figured I'd let the replay I'd make of the map sort things out. By the time I made the first trickrace map I'd forgotten most of the old school names of any of the tricks that existed, and a lot of things were named by asking whoever I was testing the map with at the time.

From what originated as a "Mexi" and an "Arch" a mexi is when you throw yourself like this way over an entire island in a roper, and an arch is when you do it over a small part of this island, so I don't see where you get all these Mexi's that are actually Arches.
I don't know if I actually followed this rule or not ('cause I might've just copy/pasted arch or mexi depending on what was closest :D), but I like to say arch flies higher than it does long, and mexi flies longer than it does high.

"Swing to Spike" This is a cool move actually, but why call it swing to spike, and not an entirely different name? Like a dragon is just a "swing" then a shadow but isn't called a swing to shadow...
I like it too, if anyone wants to name it go ahead. I've already had to name more than I'd like just trying to describe things for these maps.

You make a really good point when you say it's handy to have those names for this Trick Race, I totally agree with you mate, sorry I never looked at it from this point of view but yeah you are right.

It's a really nice map mate, honestly, good job, and you have done an outstanding job being a MOD and taking care of this Challenge :)

And the people settings the records are just incredible to be able to do so many of these moves consecutively.

I am indefinately impressed :)

Ye swing to spike is a trick that is commonly used but it doesn't have it's name... That's maybe because it loose it's powa when spike is made by inertion of long swings so only short ones have point...

Btw In this map it's nice that you can connect that trick with next one(outlaw to swing I think) into one relatively big combo :)
I noticed even on more places that kind of "connectivity" and that is probably the thing that keeps me trying this map!

Congrats to Alien and thanks to everyone who participated in this challenge. There were some truly impressive records set here, and even just finishing the map is a feat in itself, so great job to everyone.

Before I make the changes, is everyone OK with me listing their names on the map for beating it? And is Alien OK with me linking to it as an example replay?

If I do make any more trickrace maps, it won't be for quite a while. Though I might have a handful of ideas left over I didn't use if anyone wants to make a collaboration map.
