Description:
Ok Bulky had some problems to host this so I am hosting it.
It's trick race challenge, on map made by Bulky with addition of few ideas that came from my ratty head.

Rules are very simple:
-Start on start,
-Do tricks one by one or all together like one big combo in lowest possible time,
-Finish race by catching yellow line with rope,
-If you miss any trick line during racing on your time will be added 0,5 seconds (rule from last trtt)
-If you don't do properly even only one of tricks, your record won't be approved.

Don't be mad at me if I make something bad here cause I was never moderator anywhere before  :-[

Have fun! :D

Aaahahaha! That is just so cruel, Cue. Yet somehow frightening as well...

I know I can, in theory, shave another half a second off my time, but I've spent too long on it already and I don't think I'll go for it unless I'm forced to. :D

There were a few other (hopefully constructive) observations that I wanted to get off my chest before the next challenge is made, by the way. It's not impossible the map was made the way it was made for good reason (in which case feel free to ignore this), but one or two of these suggestions might benefit us all, so I'll just type it all out before I forget:

  • I enjoyed the overall shape & length of the course and the trick selection, but even though it definitely is a good idea to put a hard trick/combo in early, it still felt to me like the shortness of the rope on the first Swoosh (with a 1 or 2 frame optimal window) followed by the low Arch (not more than 2 frames) and then the second Outlaw (maybe 2 frames, 1 if you want to go straight down), was a bit harsh on the less obsessive players. Maybe it's just the combination of laptop and slow eyes/fingers, but literally 90% of my attempts were over after 5 seconds... that's including the time it took me to place my worm, heh. On such a short map, you basically know you have to go for perfection and I think a slightly longer rope on the first trick could have made it just a little less evil, resulting in even more people giving the challenge a go.
  • Speaking of the start, there are better ways of making everyone start in exactly the same spot. I like the way Coste does it in his vision challenges, but it's true that in those, you only place one worm into each tube. Alternatively, you could just leave the choice of where exactly to start to the player and make it part of the challenge. That might be better than the > < arrows because with those, you can sometimes place your worm on top of them by accident and it changes the outcome a little unpredictably.
  • Also, I wouldn't be me if I didn't point out that some of us aren't huge fans of the NLF way of naming roping tricks. This isn't really the time or place for a discussion about this, I know, and you guys only used two names that I wasn't familiar with, but one of them (Pini) was used to explain the other I didn't know (Nuke), and I couldn't find either of them on your website either, so I wasn't really sure I was doing it right until I saw others submit replays. As I say, not a big deal in this case, but it could be avoided if you just said a Nuke was a Swoosh into a floor bounce. Or something like that.
  • Finally, after 20+ minutes of trying to nail the map, the red parts were starting to hurt my eyes quite a bit. Maybe a slightly less vivid colour tone would help with that... or maybe I should turn the brightness of my screen down a bit. Argh!

Here I go again with my huge forum posts. Sorreh. >:(

Triple post.  Ban pls. Ty.

The beginning was harsh, but it's only harsh when we're all trying to do the map in less than 15 seconds.  Like you say, this requires the swoosh to be executed at such a speed that you only have a 1 or 2 frame window.

Try and do the map in 19 seconds and it becomes far more comfortable.  Same with the outlaws.

So it's actually your fault that the map got so frustrating.  Any other approach and we can't beat your time!

Concurred. No idea how that happened.

Whoever gets to it, could you please delete the first and the second one and leave the third? Thoinks.

I agree with you KRD in most of things, but as a Cueshark said if you do map for extreme time you have to be prepared for extreme situations...

Considering trick names... I know that nlF nomenclature is not perfect but it's the only that cover 99% of tricks and combos I like, so I use it. Piny is name used by players in sW clan, and it represents element of pinball(by sW, pinball combo made from pinys). Nuke is trick that you will find first on  this map here. I like doing that trick often on wxw maps where is alowed and I find it pretty cool in both situation when you fall with 90 degree angle or 45 degree angle... I couldn't call it canonball because many would disagree with that and I disagree that it is plunger(I think that it's one nlF name too) so I decided to call it with one new name I liked in that time so... it's basically 2nd tr that use it. I knew that people are mostly not familiar with that naming and that is reason why I suggested bulky to make explanation of it in brackets.

Red parts would be even more eye unpleasant if I made that color scheme for this serial of maps. Bulky will read this posts and I believe that he'll decide to change it to better.

Haha, I just did 16.14, funny when looking at the standings and you see Cueshark with 16.12 and Rodent with 16.10. But I'll give myself more shots before reporting.

Attachment, first worm. :)

It will get crazier if someone beat KRD's, no?
Due to massive misunderstandings: MonkeyIsland refers to an island not a monkey. I would be a monkey, if my name was IslandMonkey meaning a monkey who is or lives on an island. MonkeyIsland is an island which is related to monkeys. Also there's been a legend around saying MonkeyIsland is a game. So please, think of me as an island or a game.
