I watched the recording of Komito's stream last night and, as mentioned on the stream, it's a shame the streamer/viewers can't see what weapons are collected in T17 (and other shopping-style schemes).

The streams would be far more interesting if the streamers could talk about what the players got.

So I have a proposal for this cup, for games that are streamed: players privately message their weapon pickups to the streamer (or another commentator on the stream).

In a 1v1 that would be too much effort of course, but in a 2v2 it would be easy, as there would be plenty of time (3 other turns) for any given player to communicate with the streamer. In turn the streamer could adapt their stream to show inventories on-screen (i'm given to understand some streamers already do this for "what's been used" in other schemes)

I don't know how well this would work in practice or whether it really would improve the stream/viewer experience enough to be worth it, but perhaps we could give it a try by streaming one of the early rounds?

But then a spectator could not pass the information to the player?

Yep...

I'm definitely staying out of this one.

I am happy to stream any games you wish, and follow any rules/guidelines you guys setup.

There is of course a risk of stream sniping (especially where cash prizes are involved ) but because this is a 2v2 I think that would be very unlikely. In order for a team to benefit from stream sniping they'd both have to be in on it; you'd have to risk your own reputation. If I told Sibasa that my opponent had a homing missile because I saw/heard it on the stream, I don't think Sibasa would be any happier for it

I don't think it's a good idea. Stream sniping could definitely be a thing and it's still interesting to watch without it.

Yea maybe we save that until we can do live events

If Deadcode is up for it, I'm happy to stream all of our games so you can at least see the weapons we have. But maybe I would keep our voice chat private.

In terms of when we should start this cup, I'd love for us to hit 16 teams. Does anyone think that's an unreasonable goal? We're at 23 players right now, so we're 9 away from the 32 needed. Otherwise, I'm fine with starting the cup with less but wanted to get some feedback on how long we should wait for more people to join in?

Also for those in the cup without a teammate, are you looking for a teammate still or do you have someone that has yet to join? I'll reach out to those people individually soon.

I think wait until weekend, cuz at the weekend even more busy working people can come up to TUS and check this cup out (: work-oholic people probably have less time on weekdays
