Description:
The Long Desired Intermediate Cup

Heya people, it's been a while since the last Intermediate Cup, I thought now is the time for another. Everybody is free to participate regardless of skill level, clan, gender or race. The only requirement is that you are willing to play your games in given time.

Rules and Schemes

- Rules concerning glitches and map choice are same as the ONL rules and the ONL scheme is the only valid scheme.
- Games in the group stage are best of 3, best of 5 during play offs and best of 7 in the final.
- in case there will be people with same amount of points in a (finished) group the won/lost rounds will be considered. Won rounds minus lost rounds equals the difference. The player with the higher difference proceeds. If the difference is the same a tiebreaker will be played.

Deadlines

The deadline for group stage is set for July 17th 23:59 GMT. It is not possible to postpone a game beyond the deadline no matter how important your reason seems to be. Be smart and play your games right away.

Use this forum to arrange your games to enable a smooth monitoring and easier decision making if a walk over has take place.

Have fun

2 weeks ago I asked DarkxLord for a playtime. Still no reply.

Tomorrow night is my last chance to play this game. Otherwise I hope I will get validated the game for my advantage.

It's only a little more than 4 days left until the deadline, so I thought I'd give you a little overview who would proceed to KO stage if no further games are played. And I want to mention that activity pays off.

Group 1

Since Domi isn't able to play his games Uzurpator will claim the top spot with Nail being the runner up. No problems here.

Group 2

There are Kayz, K4Tsis, Warg having 1 victory out of one game each and Husk with a sad score of 0-3. So you'd think I pick two of the first three guys, right? Wrong. Husk is the only one having the courtesy of playing all of his games, which is more important for me than having one win. If nothing is going to change I will make him the top dawg of the group. As for others I'll probably make a three way coint toss battle. Don't make me do this and play your games.

Group 3

Mablak is the obvious winner. However I'm not sure who's going to be second. Activity and winwise it looks pretty ok for Fonseca, but we will wait and see.

Group 4

Unless DarKxXxLorD decides to make the best of his spare time Joschi and Cinek will proceed.

Group 5

TenoriTaiga - 1st. But who then? Monojonkka or chuvash? Or maybe even Killer? Who knows. I highly recommend Monojonkka and chuvash to play their remaining game.

Group 6

Khamski and Rafka finish your last game. You're both quite active players and there's plenty of time.

Group 7

All games played, so nothing to say apart from the obvious.

Group 8

Kalababa claims the high seeded spot and then it's probably going to be Pizzasheet, because he was putting a freaking lot of effort to get all of his games played and that's highly appreciated.

I repeat one last time: games reported beyond the deadline will not be accepted. If there are any pending results and you can't finish the games then report the unfinished score shortly before the deadline. Play all games and don't make me do some crazy decisions.

Good call on group 2 Jakka, seems like the fairest route. I hope everyone can get those games played, it's no fun when the best players don't advance :<

Fanx, Mab.

One more thing concerning the wild card tournament. The rumour that one already qualified player will drop out seems as good as confirmed. Thus Monday the 18th a tournament to replace this person will take place. I want to ask what starting time do you prefer? 18GMT? Make some suggestions I'll roll with the majority.

I don't have concerns about a time to play on Monday.

Ye I wrote two messages to Warg, got no answer,
and Katsis denied to play me, because he wants to know if it's worth to play me first and wants to see first if he wins Warg or not... Just amazing.

I hope this is a joke you want to proceed Husk, having 3 losses... I tried to play all my games, but K4tsis just denied all the time. So what to do? Sure, let the guy who lost all games proceed to 2nd round. Nice

If you don't arrange the games at this forum as I suggested, then don't be surprised if I choose the more active players before anyone else. If someone refuses to play you for reasons like those you mentioned you should report it here right away. It is up to the players to keep the moderator up to date. Since I'm not omniscient and neither of the other three felt like I needed to know what they are at, letting Husk advance appeared to be the best idea and no reasonable person shall argue against it. Don't complain about your own missteps.

If K4Tsis was indeed refusing to play Kayz when he had the chance to then he should consider himself warned.
