Final deadline set, I'm closing the cup without medal if it's not played (unless csongi beats me to making that decision).
Random and Dulek will still have their medal if the cup is closed btw.

Weird why you picked this month to post about that, considering the cup closed more than half a year ago. Do you have an alternative idea that doesn't involve handing out free points to people who aren't trying or keeping +30 public cups open at a time?

Half year ago, I was noob at navigation at TUS. So, I found this cup now, and said my opinion. + I want help you in your mod job Because, I guess, its really hard to be a mod.
About idea. Yes, I have. Imo, would be more smart, if just wait more time a bit. Or just pm to players who must play bronze match. But not close without bronze medal. Imo, all cups and tourneys must be closed when all medals "found" their winners.

im pretty sure that would result in unfinished cups and kaos... ppl need a timeline to be motivated to play i guess. and if d1 don't close cups when he said he will, he won't be respected, and the cups won't be played, that is my guess xP

Sure, but its possible to motivate without close cup without bronze medal... At least, if player, wasn't played at deadline, or just inactive, or just don't want to play, just give free win to his opponent,give a medal and close cup. Im saying about bronze match now. This is the best way I think.

I send quite a large amount of PMs to remind players that they're in a cup. Pretty much every weekend, I look at all the active cups, check for deadlines, send reminders if the deadline is within 2 weeks, if the deadline is within one week and if I see a cup that's close to the deadline, I also send them a PM.
Chelsea even requested I stop sending him these reminders
If someone has a good reason for not being able to play (sickness, vacation, other private matters) and lets me know about that in time, I will always make exceptions. If I see one of the 2 players make a real effort in getting the games done, I award that player a free win (and if that means he/she gets a medal for free, then so be it )
