Stop complaining, if you don't wanna be a part of this then just quit. It's just a cup man..

If you can't even play 2-3 games in 1-2 weeks, you should'nt even join a tourney like this, and if you can't play those games in 3-4 weeks, just quit Worms, seriously. Those long deadlines make cups like this die, just take a look at the Elite Cup, nice activity!!

This is not a tournament, the games are not intended to be played over-night. There is absolutely nothing wrong with these sorts of lengths to be given for games to be played.

You are apparently not familiar with how cups work, so if you would like to be removed from this cup (I.e. If you feel you're not going to have any fun and/or benefit from playing), then I'm sure there is someone else who would appreciate the position here

I don't want anyone to leave this cup with hard feelings, so all I can say to try and reassure you is that I have hosted a good few cups in my time now, and all have proceeded well with a strict deadline (3 Weeks is generally a good period of time to be given for 32+ players).

And remember that the cup does not just have to be about yourself; You can follow others successes and watch previously played games - I'm sure there will be plenty of action to keep you busy over the next few weeks :)

Here's an idea: Host your own cup.

Seems like you have plenty of time to waste, and it also looks like you know what's good for everyone. So go host a special cup of your own. Which cup you say? This cup:

If it's not a tournament, what is it then? A league? ROFL.. XXXXXXXDDDDDDD

Nor I did say the games have to be played overnight, but ROFL @ 5 weeks for 3 games, you will see that EVERYONE is gonna be like, "Ok, I have SO much time, I will play it some later..", in the end, my friend, almost no games will be played at all. Maybe they will in this round, but you gonna see that this tourney is gonna finished in winter if it's gonna be like this, lol.

Why is there nothing wrong with these lenghts? Of course it is, in that time we could play 20 cups like this if the deadline would'nt be like, "YOU HAVE TO PLAY 200 GAMES, DUDES!!".

I don't have to be any familiar with how cups work to realize 5 weeks is WAY too long for a MAXIMUM of 3 games, I point out that this is hysteria and not some BnG on a 66666666666666 pixel wide map, ROFL!!

Why should I want to be removed? Don't get offended me giving you a suggestion about this cup not dying, lol.

I will have fun.

I can watch and play 666 games in 5 weeks, lol. Don't even try to think your 5 weeks for 3 games deadline is SUPER GOOD, rofl..

And, Malevol3nt, could you tell me who the f@#! you actually are? Go back where you came from, I don't need such nubs like you in Worms.

1. You are not giving a suggestion, you are mocking an informed decision I have made with a very uninformed argument.

2. The deadline currently stands at four weeks, not five - I referred to an extra week; Three weeks being the formerly planned deadline.

3. If you are going to be meticulous, then yes, this is a tournament by definition. But cups as we know them are generally far larger, exclusive and most importantly, more fun than the tournaments we see on a daily basis. I shall emphasise on the exclusiveness of cups, being that you will not see them hosted often, and they are here to be enjoyed by everyone who participates. This alone accounts for part of the reasoning behind slower progress when comparing cups to tournaments.

As for your remarks on how you think this cup will pan out, please refine your "suggestions" to a more constructive form. At least to allow this thread to retain some form of organisation and legibility for other members :)

Well, cups are just as easy to host as anything else, no need to be some special, last 1 year and has to be only 1-2 times a year.. wtf.. I dont see any fun playing 2-3 games, then waiting 4 weeks, makes me forget about this, makes me not wanna continuing this, take a look at elite, its boring as f@#!, 1 game in a month is just bullshit, wait wait wait, too ling f@#!ing wait, u know, peopla wanna play not watch the tables for a year.

Twistah, explaining this to you is becoming very tedious. You don't seem to take on board anything I say.

I promise you that there are plenty of players in this cup with a lot more patience than you are portraying, and many who have played these types of cups before. These people were obviously not put off by the "long" waiting time you seem to be dwelling on so much and they seem to expect this cup to be as fun as ever.

And these cups ARE special! They are designed to be held once in a blue moon for the purpose of handing out a well sought after position of "Cup Winner", which will be held for a long period of time. We want members to feel like they are really achieving something by winning these cups, and that would be VERY hard to achieve if we held these cups week after week. The position would become senseless.

So in conclusion, yes, we only plan on holding these cups on a rare basis. Yes, we will take our time in doing so. Yes, people (With patience I can only assume, comes from experience or understanding of previous cups) will still have fun, regardless of any of the above.

i just dont get wheres the problem playing this a bit faster, maybe you dont wanna work so much and rather lean back a month? you know, there are a lot cool other scheme as well that might be wanna played in a cup, with this speed every scheme will be trough in about 2 years, means next elite cup is held in 2 years, cos we gotta wait 5 months for t17, another 4 months for rr, another 8 for bng, lol dude seriously.. XD give me the power and i show u how fast u can get this done and everyone enjoying there games, hysteria done, next scheme cup, good f@#!ing game, jesus christ, so hard to understand? lets just play more stuff on this poor inactive game and not sit in forums 3 weeks after playing 3 games. LETS PLAY WORMS ROFLROFL

What I don't understand is why YOU don't understand the reasons that this will not be finished so quickly. You are coming up with ridiculous statements now, and I don't appreciate you suggesting that I am taking these actions in a selfish manner.

I have said everything I can say, if you still believe you're not going to enjoy this cup then please relieve yourself from the position you have. I know a few people who would still like to join this cup

Once again, why should I leave it if I actually wanna play as much as possible? The deadline for freaking 2-3 games is just too long, that's my only point, and it's really too long, I doubt people rather like to wait instead of playing. Waiting is not the point in a cup at all. Everyone, EVERYONE wanna play as fast and much as possible. Show me one single player that wants to wait weeks after finishing his games. I don't get why you argue about this. It's just 2-3 games, man.. lol. People could finish their games easy in 1-2 weeks, there's no point waiting 4-5 for the next round, lol. Don't get offended, I'm just bringing my point across. People wanna play, you know, no matter how special something is, or how rare.. It's all about playing, playing and having fun. After this and the Elite cup we could start an other scheme, I doubt people would be like, "omg, another cup, f@#! it!!".. lol. They would be like, "YSE, ANOTHER ONE, NICE!!". If you give 4-5 weeks time, people also WILL play their games only in 4-5 weeks and not in 1-2. In the Elite cup my opponent for the 2nd round left saying, "this is taking too long", you know? Others don't play at all, 'cos it never gets finished, just take a look at the activity. We could've played finals already there if people would've been forced to play their games faster. Some ain't even trying to play their games, they simply forgot about it already or don't care at all anymore.

I'm not sure how old you are but many people on that list have jobs, families and other commitments that disallow them to arrange and play all their games quickly and efficiently. You also have to allow time for members who are not so motivated to play their games as quickly as possible to get the fairest results when deciding who goes through to the next round. I have previously TRIED to keep deadlines shorter and it just results in unfair decisions being made.

Please read what I have written carefully as it all makes perfect sense. You are the first person to have EVER kicked up this much fuss about the cups deadlines (At least in any that I have moderated), and you have never played a cup in your life.

Please stop this banter and make some informed choices of argument once you have seen a whole cup take place in true light. This discussion has become increasingly pointless

I suggested that you relieve yourself from this cup as you have made various comments suggesting that you do not appreciate the way this cup is being held and there are definitely others who would appreciate the opportunity to be included in this cup more than you.

makes me forget about this, makes me not wanna continuing this

Find some educated members who agree with your argument or please stop trying to push your uninformed opinions. If you still feel this way after the cup has finished, then please do feel free to express your thoughts based on the outcome, but your current skeptical ideas and predictions are not helping the matter
