u can even create em in paint  :o

but some good advices for sized. or worm sizes in pixel and cm and so on plus a good tool was welcome to be mentioned. u can for example write textes in paint or use tools to draw lines, but there must be better programs

Use any tools for Map creation, with tileset options, like The Architect

I do it in paint but the text and the map texture goes clumsy ingame. I need it detailed.

Do you mean the flames?  Save as a monochrome .bmp, then the colors bar on the left will turn into different texures you can use.  At least it used to be this way when I made maps 15 years ago :D

also u can start working from scratch on a monochrome bmp file and all the colours are instead shades of grey that result with cool looking textures for .bit map

I make them in GIMP, the image size is always 1920x696. Keep in mind, in a monochrome map, you have a pallete of 2 colors, black (blank area) and white (land), so If you want to texturize a map, get some patterns. I recommend you start by drawing out where you want the terrain by using 2-pixel radius brush as a border, then the inside with 1-pixel checkerboard. Also, watch out for automatic girders, they may appear even if you don't want them.

Also, when making patterns, test them, see how petrol flames behave on it and see if you can blowtorch correctly in them.

You can also "cheat" by making your image transparent and pasting it over a blank map like this: https://www.tus-wa.com/maps/map-16215/

This will give a more accurate look to the textures in-game. You can also use themes that would usually butcher .bit maps. It's how I made maps like this one: https://www.tus-wa.com/maps/map-16402/

Although these are technically still .png maps rather than .bit, so doesn't really answer your question :P
