apple windows - mouse accuracy
« on: January 06, 2017, 01:00 PM »
I am getting seriously mad these days. I have to finish a couple of projects and my mouse started to act quite bad.
I am on mac, I was using magic mouse. I went on holidays and I had to repair some windows PC at my parents place, for 2 weeks I didnt touch my mac computers, I was trying to enjoy my damn holiday.

Come back to work, video editing days, my mouse was so bad that I couldn't concentrate on my work, yesterday I replaced it with a MX Master and ran SmoothMouse, it seems to be a bit better but nothing comparable to the windows accuracy I experienced last week at my parents place with siple lenovo laptops. So that I am really considering to move back to windows after 12 years and buy a digital storm work station or pugetsystems.

Am I crazy or did you experience incredible difference between mac and windows mouse? I can't concentrate, I have spent hours in adjusting settings, resetting things etc...

it's like  a lag... when I move it, it takes a moment before re-acting...
--- now if I use its bluetooth receiver it seems to work better.

I've experienced something similar wih my magic trackpad and I was suspecting it was the bluetooth.
I only used magic mouse for a very short period, I didn't like it.
I didn't especially like my mouses on windows, some of them were really awful.
I tried trackballs too, it's not my thing.
I love apple's trackpads, though, both built-ins and magic trackpad, they're superior to any non-mac trackpads I've seen.

Maybe macs are supposed to be used with trackpads.

that's true, the trackpad is amazing.
It might be something with the bluetooth, now that I am using the original mouse receiver-antenna it seems much better. I wouldn't be surprised if in 1 year they will remove the mouse, the new macbook pros don't even have the traditional USB door.
It seems they are pushing the pencil now...
