« on: June 01, 2012, 12:15 AM »
Ok since I Installed Windows Vista Service Pack 2 I have been have screen lag issues. Could be a coincidence but it started occurring around this time. It is weird because it see it on my opponents turns also.

The steps I have taken:

Fresh restart
Limiting startup programs
Updated graphics card
Cleaned dust from laptop

Any help would be greatly appreciated as it is almost impossible to rope.

if you think that the problem isn't in graphic card, try AntiLag.
Dec 30 2013 23:59:44 <StepS> windowed mode isn't the only thing you need about frontend
Dec 30 2013 23:59:49 <StepS> you need it to be actually bigger
Dec 31 2013 00:00:13 <StepS> it actually is very small on my 15-inch full HD screen
Dec 31 2013 00:00:25 <StepS> while running at 640x480 or stretched mode makes it fuzzy
Dec 31 2013 00:00:44 <StepS> this problem has been around since the Worms Armageddon's release and no one has even tried to beat it

omg, vista?! better use win7! :)

maybe you need more RAM (I don´t know how much you have or what PC you are using)
maybe there is a programm in the background, which uses much of your RAM. check the taskmanager.

You are wrong theredi :P

More RAM helps windows to function better. Windows is not RAM-friendly like linux. It has a good potential to chew RAM the second it gets a chance.
Due to massive misunderstandings: MonkeyIsland refers to an island not a monkey. I would be a monkey, if my name was IslandMonkey meaning a monkey who is or lives on an island. MonkeyIsland is an island which is related to monkeys. Also there's been a legend around saying MonkeyIsland is a game. So please, think of me as an island or a game.

And if you have a Firefox release with a nice little memory leak that uses up, say, 1,9GB of your RAM, what do you end up with?

Although, that is unlikely. Dub, please give some specific information about what hardware you use so we can help you.

If you have an nVIDIA graphic driver, try this:

  • 1. Open your nVIDIA Control Panel, you can reach that from your desktop by right clicking on it, or from the tray icons, or from your Windows Control Panel.
  • 2. On the left side, you should see a small menu saying "Select a Task..." at the top. Under "3D Settings", click on "Manage 3D settings".
  • 3. Now on the right side, you should see two tabs, click on "Program Settings".
  • 4. Here, first tick the checkbox that says "Show only programs found on this computer". Then click on the button that says "Add" and browse your wa.exe.
  • 5. Now, if you have selected in the dropdown menu, there should be some options below. Find "Vertical sync" and turn it off.

No guarantee that this works.

Did you try what I suggested? I didn't put together such a nice step-by-step list for nothing, you know how much work that was? At least 4 minutes of my very valuable time! :o :)
