Your country flag is your nationality and can't be changed. There will be new field in the future which specifies your current location. (or residency) That can be changed by the user. You gotta wait until then though.

I don't have a problem allowing to hide countries per se. The thing is, TUS uses countries in various places and I have to go through them all to enable such feature. I'm so busy coding TUS v3.0 and I'd rather make the feature in the new code base than modifying the current code.

it can be a problem of identity, one might not feel comfortable with identifying with a specific country
