If you could go back to the 1st day you found this game, and rediscover everything again, like your mates, finding out all the cool tricks and schemes of the game, going through all the leagues and the drama the wins and the losses again, but not so everything happens the same, so you could make slight little changes or something, would you do it?

I'd love to go back to the start, and play with official ranks again

Official ranks were around about 10 years ago, when Wormnet started, there was official leagues within wormnet and you joined channels to play official games and won points etc and gained/lost ranks, hence why I use Elite as my rank in wormnet with snooper cuz I was actually Elite back in the day.

Well that would mean that the patchers would have to re-write the whole ranks stuff wouldn't it? As far as i know it had been hacked in the past... i don't think that it is likely to happen...

By the way, there is no chance Team17 brings the ranking system back, this question has been around ever since it was hacked, and the staff still states they have no intention bringing it back.

The updates don't have anything to do with the online ranking system, the datas were stored on the server, not in the game.

Yeah but the program code would have to be changed in order to do a new ranking system i guess... no point in bringing a system back which already has been proved hackable lol.

On that "ideas for new patches" website thing there was a post for Official Ranks coming back, and I am sure it said "in motion" as in they were either thinking about it, or actually working on it, if i'm wrong, then whatever lol.

He seems pretty serious about taking WA even further, though I somewhat doubt ranks will ever be a reality. Especially because T17 doesn't give a crap about WA anymore.
