losing 71 points is pretty frustrating, hum.
There's kinda no reason for me to do any more games this season as long as im in top 4 except I really wanna play.
Would be way cooler if the system would give me any reason to play TEL instead of funner elites ;/

System doesn't like high ranked players. As soon as it gets a chance, it took as much points as it can from them

you can be nice though and not avoid someone just because they have a low rank.. but there is the risk.  you avoid losing 71 points if you focus 100% and make minimal mistakes.  it just wasn't your best game here Rand.

no reason to do any more games?  if what you say is true that you really wanna play, then you should ;p  either take the risk, play well.. or avoid low players, or maybe report as classic singles elite, if that's up enough from a funner elite

edit: hmm, looking at TEL standings, maybe has something to do with mablak taking #1 after this loss ^^

p.s. I've beat Rand in Shopper in last WO and I can tell U, when U beat a player like Rand is... U feel like U did deserve that "71" points + bonus (free drinks) or smth.. it feels great! xD

I know Random00 pretty good and I'm sure, thats not the reason You really deserve, being at No. 1 at the moment. And I'm sure, Rand thinks the same.

To play Elite matches vs low ranks (around 1000 or less) versus "dangerous" oppenents like lacoste, chuvash, kayz, dario etc, which are pro or very decent Intermediate players, is too much risk. You cant win more points than you lose against them. It's not the same like playing versus really low Elite skillers (no names here).

Intermediate-Players are really a higher risk than any average Elite player. They just have some few leaks, which is BnG, Sudden Death and some problems with 20 sec turns also. Tacticial moves, battleracing, handling with weaps / tools etc, they are almost top. But anyway, you also can lose versus a lower Eliter without any Intermediate experience. The risk is always a part of the game and the system.

TEL-League is very active and that's really great. So I'm starting to think about searching for oppenents like:

"TEL 1150+ anyone" ?

It's not cheap to play versus same ranks only. That's my opinion.

hm, my first post sounds way more pessimistic then it should ;x

guess the system is pretty ok for this league, it encourages me to make less big mistakes when I can lose lots of points. ;d
was just a bit frustrated after I saw that the 1-1 vs lacoste was -63 points for me. But hey, the Elite world is not about points, its about fun
