TUS Discussion / Why is losing punished with points?

Hey, I was thinking about the league system and I was asking myself why you lose points as a penalty when you already lost time (time=potential points by winning) and thus have to re-earn them which costs even more time. I also believe that when you penalize people for losing with points loss that it encourages avoiding better players; better players sitting on a big lead so they don't risk losing them and general inactivity. It also makes you feel less "discouraged" if you don't lose your hard earned points. What are your thoughts? There are many examples from other leagues back in W:A as well as completely different video games as well as real life sports where losing doesn't penalize the looser with the loss of points.

General discussion / Are snooper users all violating the rules?

I am actually wondering if all the snoopers programs are "non-authorized" clients. I am not scared of it and couldn't care less if my IP would be temporarily banned (dynamic anyway), but I would like to know if we are all violating this rule by using snoopers. xD

Since I miss W:A the clicky noise of my mechanical IBM so much I thought it would be time for an early x-mas present (my b-day was 3 days ago you unfriendly bastards). It's a QPad Gaming keyboard with MX Blue switches (the ones that make the most noise :D). It should be here in about 2-3 days.

Really awesome game that is going to be released in a couple of days. You manage your own starship including the crew, equipment and multiple choices as a captain. :D

Boarding, Drones, 6 alien species and a lot of weapons to pick from. 10 Bucks to get a DRM free and a Steam key version when you buy it once it's available on friday.

Yo, I just played the demo on Steam and I must say I am totally blown away. This Turn Based game is so well done I could sink hours of time into it. It's a mixture with some basic Civ5 graphic style and lot's of high fantasy. If you ever played and liked Elemental or Masters of Magic or Age of Wonders you should definitely check it out. There is a demo available on Steam. If you pre-order you get the DLC for free. It will have multiplayer later on and all maps are randomly generated. Customizable wizards with different perks and traits and 3 different Races with so many buildings to build and upgrades to get. Just check it out, the demo plays better than most games on release. :)

Release-Day is the 8th, shame that it's so close to Diablo3 I will have to play both, need more time!

General discussion / Custom Worm names. Ok or not?

In almost every scheme without worm select you have to keep in mind the order of your opponents worms. Some people use similar worm names to confuse the opponent and I have to waste time to remind or write down the worm names. Since external aids are not allowed anymore I can't write down any worm names anymore. So everybody should be forced to use standard Worm names.

Here are some examples:

Worm 1
Worm 2
Worm 3
..
.
etc.

It's a league and should be an even playing field!
