I would like to get the Worms World Party ambient tracks in WA. The WWP remastered version uses 22Khz max. Did the dreamcast version of WWP have higher quality audio?

I went through them all and made the changes below :

- Kept the "WORMSELECT.WAV" sample from WA - I think it's better
- Kept the "TIMERTICK.WAV" sample from WA - the WWP Remastered one is too quiet / not as urgent
- The new splash.wav didn't sound like a good fit.  Replaced with the new "changewatertype.wav" in the FeSFX folder. Boosted the volume to fit the game.
- I carefully boosted the 3 explosion sound effects to make them punch more (only slightly... no audible clipping or distortion)

That's really odd!  Maybe T17 only want to drive traffic to their site / channels of revenue for the game and forget about the CD release.  I'd love to know more about the arrangement between T17 and the current maintainers, the story of how they got the source code, the T17 approval process (since it's obviously their IP).  An interview with DC and CS would be great!   I read that T17 described 3.8 as a 'fan-made update', which while technically true I feel it doesn't quite paint the true picture.

This is by design, however I think it would make sense to have multiple levels of "Play Audio in background" in future updates. So you could make it include music streams and work even when minimized. With the default being the current option's ON state.

Ahh that clears that up. In 3.7.2.1 all audio could be heard when minimised from full screen or if windowed and no focus.  Yeah it would be good to be able to control the bg music volume independently too.  Cheers for the reply!

The option does not affect minimization, only leaving the windowed game in background but not minimizing it.

Just realised it's the background (CD file) music track that stops playing when the window loses focus.  The other sound FX can still be heard.  When focus is resumed, the background music resumes.  I'm mounting the genuine CD image to play - blackpill no longer works sadly.

Yeah, it was fixed for me after going into tweaks and double clicking: PlayAudioInBackground_Enable.reg

That's a good point   I'd never played a 0 retreat game before - was wondering why dynamite had retreat on the rope, but not grenades.  Thanks for the reply

I just played a game with a retreat time of 0 for land and rope attacks.  So when I drop a grenade from a rope, I come off the rope instantly and can't move.  However, when dropping dynamite I have the retreat time for land and rope.  Is this a bug?

Just wondering if it's possible to add water colour as an option for a map - I know the water can be changed in-game with the /h2so4 command so hopefully easy to do?

Also, would it be possible to have the option for quitter's worms to be removed from the game (teleport out?)

Chill your boots troll boy    A rewrite is very complex - that's my point.  Maybe you didn't understand "ambitious rewrite".  I'd love to see a shiny, modern 4.0, but I think 3.8 should evolve into it rather than a ground up rewrite if that's possible. I imagine that would be difficult/impossible with the existing code base though.... and would Team 17 allow it?  You seem to think the work on 3.x is pointless, I'm glad Deadcode/CS don't agree with you.
