Bug Report / [SOLVED] Corrupted Map PNGs
« on: July 20, 2020, 09:44 AM »
https://www.tus-wa.com/maps/mappack-138

This is a bit sad. I uploaded these really old maps I made for archive on here, and somehow, they are all corrupted now.
Almost none of the PNG files seem to load anymore and a lot of the BIT levels are also broken.

I think I should make this known so that it can be investigated so it does not happen to any other maps on the site. I doubt there's anything that can be done with mine (although I would hope there was)

Editing the files in Notepad++ gives this message:

ANKA / The clan is shut down
« on: March 19, 2014, 04:05 PM »
I realized that I simply don't have the time to manage a clan in between everything else I'm doing. I think xANKAx is more of a good memory that is best left alone, whenever we've tried to resurrect it, it never worked.

I might join a clan some day, though. I just don't have the time to manage a clan now or even in the future.

Promotion Project / Shameless self promotion

https://www.youtube.com/user/SirConmon

I've always wanted to have a more competitive channel on youtube. I will start doing W:A videos with post commentary for fun and also to promote the competitive scene, I plan on doing it more intensely if the matchmaking becomes a thing. I won't just do W:A content though because I don't think it's easy to promote W:A on it's own, people simply doesn't look for it. So, since I'm also very much into competitive Pokémon, that's going to help bring people to the channel. I also plan on doing competitive Smash Bros videos once that comes out for the 3DS. I'm going to get a capturecard 3DS to get better footage eventually but it's quite expensive so it will have to wait.

I don't expect everyone to appreciate me posting this here but maybe someone cares to follow me.

Oh and... I know my first video isn't very good, lol. It will be a process for me to get better at commentary but I'm working on it :)

Cheers!

TUS Discussion / Client idea
« on: March 18, 2014, 04:38 PM »
Being on snoop programs and the in game chat is an alright way to do ladder matches, but couldn't it be even better, more comfortable?

Considering snoop programs are so popular I figured that there is an opportunity to build a client specifically for ladder matches. Most games use an automatic client that searches out the closest ranked person for you to play against, that's how most competitive games now days work. You pick a ladder you want to play, and the client searches an opponent. We already have the possibility to have login names on snooper clients so making one for TUS makes sense to me.

We already have the database on the website, wouldn't it be possible to connect these to a "TUS-client"?

I honestly believe that this would boost the competitive scene and bring more people to play the game and that's what we want, right? I'd love a program like this because I don't particularly enjoy having to search out people, talk to them and set things up AND reporting. It's also a very outdated method and if you want an old game to bring in more people you got to stay on top of things like this.

I would love to hear some ideas from people that actually know how to build things like this and hear if it would be possible. I'm not a programmer so I don't know anything about that kind of stuff, it just sounds doable to me.

General discussion / [VIDEO] Superb Moments With xANKAx!
« on: February 04, 2013, 08:12 PM »
Here's the next edition! This one is a little bit shorter than the other one. That's because I'm planning on taking a break from W:A for a little bit, also I like keeping them short.
Anyhow, I hope this brings you some entertainment. It's always fun to editing worms videos.

General discussion / Updates.. what about them?
« on: January 21, 2013, 05:52 PM »
Question..

Is it impossible for deadcode/cybershadow to add new content into the game? And I mean things like, weapons and physics. I know we get commands and stuff and a few improvements here and there but is there a limit as to what can be updated for W:A?

The reason I ask is because it'd be nice to see things that's displayed in mods like projectx being added into the actual game. Because it'd make the experience even more rich.

So how about this?

Schemes / Digger!
« on: January 20, 2013, 07:34 PM »
Hello chaps! I think I thought of something new here, not sure. It might be!

DOWNLOAD
https://www.tus-wa.com/schemes/scheme-895/

The Objective
Use the weapons provided in the crates to dig through the dirt to drown your opponent. All worms are otherwise invincible.

Rules
CAK applies to this scheme.
1-3 Worms per team. (possible to be played by more)

Maps:
They may look all crazy, if you want. As long as the map is boarded and the water is set so that the worms can drown.

Schemes / G-Shopper?
« on: January 20, 2013, 01:21 PM »
I'm not sure if this has been done before or not but I was thinking about this the other day.

We all know how a normal Shopper works - CAK. But what if there were variations to this?

G-Shopper (Ground Shopper) is something I thought of. What you simply do is replacing the Attack From Rope rule with a Attack From Ground rule. You go hunt your chests, preferably with rope of course. Then you must attack your opponent from the ground.

I honestly find this to be even more difficult than doing it from the rope.

I suppose you could make a hybrid with G and normal shopper to allow both too.

Just a thought :)

TUS Discussion / Soundbanks Suggestion
« on: January 19, 2013, 01:43 PM »
Would it be possible to add a "listen-to" feature for soundbanks?
It'd be nice to go through sound banks and to be able to listen to the files before downloading.

ANKA / Clan Replay Topic
« on: November 22, 2012, 04:14 PM »
In this thread all of xANKAx may post replays of great moments. Successful or unsuccessful mistakes, etc.

The replays may later be included in the videos we post on youtube.

Maps / Need help with mapping!
« on: November 20, 2012, 02:51 PM »
Sup guys!

I'm starting to make maps again. Last time I did, I were very young and made rather noobish maps so I'd like some tips from you guys.

I'll start of with this:
I made a proper map to start of, how do you set the water to plop weapons but not the worms?
