I'll say! Kinslayer's the MIA-er in group 1

you can win a hysteria with 1 worm against a whole, starting positions make no difference in hysteria.

Only if you're stronger than that player, both with weapon skills and strategy and if you're playing someone who really knows his hysteria, then you'd better have Komodo-like BnG skills

Truth is, we haven't treated offending players as strictly as the (in caps and bold written) rule might imply, but we also didn't leave DoN games just be, at least not when we noticed DoN games being reported. I agree with D1 and C23, we should be more strict. I tried to be here: https://www.tus-wa.com/forums/complaints/11159-zippo-vs-nail-roper/ (and my karma dropped considerably, hehe).

The league is getting more active as we speak, so we should act consistently to prevent endless fights and discussions at solving complaints.

aww
to compensate, I rated that one up ;D

That wraps up group 8.
Even if Weem4n loses the last game, he wins the group and I'm second.
Weem4n displayed pretty well how more worms doesn't mean you're at a disadvantage in our game

Should've used a zook that first turn :-/ But well done, you never gave me a chance after that!
#5211
Being unable to avoid turn abuse is noob ::)
There are plenty of tactics I don't like either if people use them. This is why I adapt and use other strategies that work well against those.

Just because you can't think of any good ideas doesn't make tactics cows :P
#5212
There are no cows in hysteria
And there certainly are ways to protect yourself against turn advantage
#5213
I'm very much aware of those tactics, but there are ways to counter that and I was able to do that pretty easily, not because my opponent screwed up, but because there weren't a lot of worms and he was completely screwed over by the placements at the start.

Well, yeah, it can get crowded with more, but I recall one game where my opponent got royally screwed over. I had the first turn and 2 of his worms were piled near a mine field, so I started off with 2 easy kills.
His other 2 worms were in the middle of the level underground in horrible positions, so after the first turn, the game was basically over.

Sure you will, bungee doesnt get rusty ;).

Have you seen the group I'm in? ;D Even if I win one game, it's going to be hardfought!
#5216
only 4 worms? Won't this make starting positions and starting turn too dominating in determining the outcome?
#5217
I'm not counting on anything! Excellent bungeeplayers are competing here.
And having bad luck at one jump can ruin your entire game easily :)

Anyway, I don't have any messengers, so I guess I'll have to arrange playing times through the forums, so I hope everybody will pay attention to that!

Let's see if I can make it past the group stage :) today's games were hopeful in that aspect!

TUS Discussion / DoN

I already PMed MI about this here rule, but he asked me to post the suggestion here.

Quote4) Proceeding

•First, you need to find a partner. Then you decide which kind of league you want to play: Classic or Free. Both of you have to pick one scheme and play those two games.
•Before the first game start, both of you have to tell what your username on the site is. Missing to do this might have your games infirmed.
•After you finished the games, and the games result is 1-1, you can agree on playing a third game.
•EVERY GAME MUST BE REPORTED! This means DoN (Double or Nothing) games are highly forbidden!

When I was browsing through some complaint threads, I saw several of them mentioning DoN was agreed. This is in direct violation of the rules above. The response by staff however, didn't show anything was going to be done about it, so I can see only 2 options:
1) Remove the rule
2) Start enforcing the rule

I'm not an active league player and probably never will be, but in all honesty, DoN undermines the system at work here, because DoN assumes that the players involved are equal. Rating however suggests this is not the case.

Time for a discussion.

I'm guessing this isn't the first time you tried a DoN, crash?
