October 07, 2024, 08:45 PMQuote from: TheWalrus on October 07, 2024, 05:08 PMdoes wmd even have a disc version?
I wouldn't be surprised if there's a cartridge version of WMD on switch, otherwise I wouldn't count on it

October 07, 2024, 03:12 PMQuote from: Kradie on October 07, 2024, 12:56 PMI would like to think that most fans of WA, their perspective of WMD is not favorable. That thread you linked, I feel embarrassed by it for some reason. There's a lot of cynicism in it.
ur not the only one ^^; that thread is indeed a nightmare

crate rate makes more crates appear per turn, but there's a cap of 5 by default. however, these are still tied to the odds in the game options

General discussion / Re: WA on Nintendo Switch?
August 29, 2024, 10:58 AMQuote from: Kradie on August 28, 2024, 12:16 PMIf you really want WA on a portable device you could always get a Steam Deck or similar.
Steam Deck, FTFY
the one time I tried WA on Steam Deck, there was a lot of tearing, not sure why. otherwise, I wasn't offended by the controls once I got used to them. the only thing I haven't managed to do correctly is to select weapons using the F keys. then my brother (who owned the Steam Deck) sold it so uuh booooooo
thankfully steam controller configuration is advanced enough to do things that WA would pretty much require. the only gripe that doesn't involve setting up controls and getting used to them is speed. Even Intermediate with 45s turn time was a bit of a struggle, so I had to play 90s Intermediate with CPU1 lmao

i think it's fair to say that given what happened with WWPR, we as the TUS community have very low expectations of that said "remaster" and we'd rather patiently wait for what Deadcode/CyberShadow (the actual maintainers) have actually cooked up, but I'm ready to be convinced otherwise

tried to do a similar thing with stable diffusion. for some reason, they give isometric view, and not a side-scrolling view. what is this, Super Mario RPG?!

July 29, 2024, 09:20 PMQuote from: Sensei on July 28, 2024, 09:53 PMIt's not about being poor or rich. It's about sacrificing a portion of a 1 day salary to buy a decent monitor for a game you poured thousands of hours into. I just find it silly that healthy grown up "can't" afford something like this. Second hand full hd monitor.. Yeah, I'm not exaggerating. There's probably people getting rid of them for free on some facebook market place in your area.
bro have you seen the ludicrous inflation levels in brazil?!

oh yea, my cup lol
the idea of banning a scheme came from the pick/ban system from osu! tournaments and pro counter-strike matches, where banning 1-2 maps means nobody can pick it in a match, meaning some research needs to be done on the opponent (or yourself) to be confident on what to ban
