TNL is removed, and Intermediate is moved to the free league. The number of people wanting Intermediate in free league (or cared to talk about it) were more than people who wanted it in the classic league. However, there's always time to change your mind.


"Big RR/Tower", "Golf" and "Plopwar" got added to the free league.

Yes you heard right! well this is a solution me and Lookias came up with. with the new wheat snooper you can make sure you won't get faked and wheat shows your true rank.

We are introducing secure logging with The Wheat Snooper, where you type in your TUS account name and TUS account password (or TUS snooper password) and you register into WN:


Wheat asks TUS if the pass is correct and when you login, the users page looks like this:
As you can see DENnis and I are highlighted and our TUS rank is shown. (I'm star in classic league atm)


When you see a user is highlighted, it means he has been using secure logging and you can make sure the name you are seeing is really the guy himself.

What if someone use your TUS account via other snoopers or the game itself?

Say someone fakes me, and use my account as you seen above:  dPxMonkeyIsland
In this case, I go to my TUS profile or by clicking "profile" button in secure logging section:


In TUS profile, I can change my snooper name:


As you can see here, I changed my account to dP`MonkeyIsland   (changed x to `)
The password field above lets you choose password specially for snooper. Some of you may not feel comfortable to type your TUS account password into the snooper, so you can set a special password for the snooper and use that when trying to secure logging.
The rank field will tell snooper which one of your league ranks (Classic, TEL or free) you wanna show in WN.

Ok, back to the problem: I changed my name to dP`MonkeyIsland and now I try login again:


As you can see, my new nickname is highlighted and the fake one is clear.

What if someone type another name in the profile field different from his real account?

Even if someone put another nickname than his, wheat always opens up a tool tip to show you the guy's TUS account name:


As you can see, my WN name is dPxMonkeyIsland, but when holding the mouse on my name, the tooltip is saying my TUS account which is MonkeyIsland.

On the last note, by right-clicking on the user and clicking on "show user info", you can view his TUS profile.

Seems I'll release TEL sooner, in fact I could release it tonight, but lets take a moment to figure out its point/system.

as for TNL, the system was designed to accept best of N games. For example, people could report 3:2 in TNL and system would counted in a way that 3:2 would bring you more points than 2:1 because you played more games.
so in this way, you could have an agreement before game that you wanna play bo1 to bo9 and the winner reports once.

The other way is to make it like classic or free league. One report per each game.

Do you want to report each game individually or you want to be able to report games with results?
Post any other idea about TEL here, the sonner we finish this, the sooner TEL will be on its way.

Hopefully we'll do better this year!!

Here's some ideas that could help TUS Leagues and give us more activity:

TEL (TUS Elite League) came up with elite challenges thread, and seems to be a good replacement for TNL.
TRL (TUS Rotated League) was an idea that always were around.

Making 2 more leagues is not a good idea. So I think this would suit TUS the best:

1. Adding TRL, having a poll each season what scheme people want for the upcoming season. Allowing to have repeated schemes. (So this way Elite will have most of the votes each season?)
2. Removing TNL, adding Intermediate scheme to classic league. (as a refusable or fixed pick)

Wow didn't know about the shotgun through worm! (10:35)

Looking at our designs statistics,
253 members out of 1475 have checked out other designs, the rest haven't touched the design select box. (So basically they don't know it exists). Hopefully this thread could spread the word more. So for those of you who have no idea, The design select box in on TUS footer:


Worms Freak is sort of a mutated version of Worms design. A few of you already knew it was in the plan. Anyway I tried to make this design as friendly as possible, but still comparing to other designs of TUS, this is the less friendly design.
The point of this design was to illustrate the game ever more (not making a more friendly design). However to reduce the cumbersome of the menus, I made 2 labels that work on hovering your mouse upon them.

This design has removed a big column, so it gives more space for the content area of the site. Works good for people who uses 1024 x 768 screen resolutions, so now no horizontal scroll for them.

I think its obvious which keys on the keyboard opens up what menus.
For some of you the design may look a bit buggy, it is because of new settings. Do a "Ctrl + F5" to force your browser to read the new settings again.

I've also coded /anon command for the shoutbox. but if you hold your mouse open the text, it will show you who has posted that message.

Ok, I'm gonna collect ideas for the next update of Cups, since:

Tourney = Cup without groups stage

So I'll release TUS tourneys along with Cups v1.1 (Using cups engine to handle tourneys)
Long time I didn't update anything for cups, so I put this in announcements to collect everything from anyone around.

I'll put the accepted ideas in this first post. So you can check this post every once in a while.
This is the TUS tourneys concept:

*A mod will submit his tourney, giving a starting time.
*Just like a cup, that tourney receives a page of its own.
*At the tourney signups time, it gets open. But instead of a mod in a channel, asking for people to PM him/her the info about them, mod simply gives that tourney page to people. People can click the famous "join" button of the tourney and signup. This way, mods doesn't have to tell the list of people who have registered so far. People check that tourney page to see who has registered. No one can fake anyone.
*Mods will choose the pairing system of the tourney. So basically no cheating mods.
*Mods will be available till the end of the tourney just to guide, handle complaints and proceeding People to the next stages. (people will report their replays right after they won)

Please keep every idea in this thread.

Welcome to TUS 15th season. Leagues got updated to v2.0, you can read about its new features on its versions history page.

We've talked about W2roper scheme, In this new season we'll try W2rope scheme as a second choice to classic roper to see how the results will turn out. Upon any kind of disagreement the classic roper scheme must be played. , you cannot force players to pick W2Roper.

PO qualifications for this season for singles and clanners are 80 and 70.

As of today, we set an English only rule for the public parts of TUS, like shoutbox, or general forum parts.

If there's cup hosted for certain people such as Russian clan, or a Brazilian cup, it is OK to talk in your language, we don't mind.
But please keep the general part of TUS in English.

We start reminding you of this rule in case it happens, then we delete non-English posts.

Lately we've had more people getting faked. Personally I believe it is only 1 person whose faking.

Anyway, one way to avoid this before playing is asking your opponent to type something in TUS shoutbox regarding to you.

Wow HHC, nice start, then tons of badlucks (mistakes) in a row!

Mir going on roof is forbidden in T17.

New parts got added to TUS, but they were not in front of people eyes. So many people had to click each page one by one to see what's new in each part, and some were too lazy to do so. This gave us a bit of inactivity in some parts. So now TUS home page shows recent things coming to TUS!

Apart from that, now you are able to customize your TUS homepage. The link to customize your TUS homepage is under profile in your user panel.
Select what things you like to see in your home page

If I have missed something that I need to add to those options let me know!

Ok, I guess it's time for another update on the leagues.

Collected ideas so far:

  • Changing 'more games to report' select box, to a checkbox. (Cost you 1 click instead of 2)
  • When using more games to report, member names stay in the fields, so that you don't have to select them again.
  • Other members of a clan will be able to report clanners.
• [NAil's] Worms Award
• [pr's] Watcher mode
• Showing your game result vs each of your opponents in games limitation table.
  e.g.  NAiL  (5:2)  as in you lost 5 games to NAiL and won 2.
• PO 8/16 switch, depending on the season activity, PO goes for 16 people or 8. 16 (10 overall + 6 seasonal)

We started hosting weekly TTRR and BungeeRace challenges.
It wasn't a big update however there were many broken things which got fixed. Challenges are up and running now!
