Tech Support / PacMani's Bug Reports
« on: October 13, 2013, 02:15 PM »
I'll use this thread to post the bugs I found in the latest game version.
Red are real bugs I can reproduce every time.
Orange are bugs I had once but can't easily reproduce or which I am not sure about if they are really bugs.
Blue are some kind of feature requests which may also be bugs or were just forgot to be implemented.

In-Game: Supersheep flies slowly at top most area
This buggy effect is hard to notice, you can only really see it if you remove the camera limitations, but it's there.
At the top most pixels (e.g. the sheep is at the highest position possible before it doesn't move more upwards anymore) minus the height of the displayed water, the super sheep flies as slow as if it is underwater, but sound effects and trail are still the same as if it is flying in air.

In-Game: Worms can be teleported underwater
Moving the cursor to the bottom most pixel line teleports him directly to the water surface, plopping him, even if there's land above the water surface. Maybe this behavior is unwanted, just plain logical, dumb or everything at once.
When removing the cursor limitations with hacking, it is possible to teleport a worm directly into the water, below the surface. Even though this doesn't give a tactical advantage, it should be prohibited with a beep sound appearing, as with trying to teleport a worm on a caverns roof.

In-Game: Camera scroll lock is not remembered between games
If you have a pretty large monitor on which the whole map fits, you tend to use Ctrl+Shift+Scroll to lock the camera movement because everything outside the default island bounds is uninteresting to you.
This works completely fine. But this setting is not remembered at all. In the next round, camera movement is back. It would be nice to have this fixed to the default camera position then to avoid the camera moving around at all.

In-Game: Pinned chat window can be higher than active chat window
I don't think that makes sense. I sometimes wanted to minimize the active chat window, but then it became extremely large, because I played around with its size before.
