Thanks DarkOne, making a Monitor Capture for W:A worked... but when I'm in wormnet lobby the square is on the top left of my stream, when I go into a game it full screens...

Anyway to fix that when I'm just in lobby and I can full screen it? if not it's not that big of a deal.

:)

thnx it worked, how often they update this thing... well next time will know what to do if same stuff happens :)
Wheat 2.9.3 was released last November. The new WormNAT2 was released even earlier, and was warning users continuously about the update.

This means your WormNAT2 is outdated. Get the latest wheat snooper (2.9.3).

Yes, a lot of people streamed the game. You just need to enable Direct3D 9 and optionally D3D9Wnd. Keep in mind that the Game Capture in OBS has a bug that will lose capture of the game once you start a match but you can reinstate it (unless OBS have finally fixed that bug, which I doubt).

Quote from: j0e on January 12, 2016, 10:48 PMEntuser has been unresponsive to all attempts to contact him. I'd want to know that he's alive and willing to release his source before I donated to him. I can't understand why he'd want his brilliant creation to be such a waste of potential. Are any of his old friends still around that could reach out to him?
I can confirm that he's alive and willing to release his source (under certain conditions, such as finding everything needed for it to work...). Last time I contacted him was in April 2015. He has been very busy with his studies in the recent years. It's not certain but he might show up more often starting this year.

Quote from: Komito on January 10, 2016, 06:55 PMThe best thing imo to happen for HostingBuddy, would be what you suggested with the addition of actually being able to edit the scheme/map as you would normally if you were hosting, that, is the holy grail of hosting imo...
This can be implemented as a WormKit module (easy, but time-consuming due to the amount of stuff in HB), except for the map. Should I invest my time into this or make something else?

Yeah, seems to be the case here, it thinks the version is "outdated". It should rather do a "greater than" check, like I did in MyWormNET 1.4.

Great work! It's always nice to see these new developments around.
However, like you already said in your posts on that website, the rank system mostly only serves as a proof of concept, because it has been a dead end ever since its inception, as you can't trust the client with sending the game results. In order to ensure a proper ranking system, the server must be running a copy of the game engine and control the players' actions all on its own. This is the exact concept planned for W:A 4.0. Otherwise I could just open the web browser and send in fake results.
Another problem is, since the rank system was cancelled in 1999, the related game code has stayed unmaintained and exhibits lots of bugs such as the impossibility to play multi-round games (automatic lighting-up bug), the mispositioned "Show rankings" button, and also the limitations due to which you had to bundle a wormkit module package.
But nevertheless, I appreciate the time and effort you put into this.

P.S.: I'm unable to find where to register through the game itself. "WelcomeLoginForm.asp" disallows access, while it should greet me and lead me to the <SHOWNEWUSERENTRY> page.

Quote from: Tomi on December 25, 2015, 02:23 PMSo you can disable the loading of common settings on startup, tus accounts, channel scheme, game list
If you disable loading of channel schemes (which is a one-time operation), then also disable game joining and hosting, because then you simply can't be synchronized with others.

Yes. I didn't make any cheatpacks.

It's a prank module that opens shock websites on launch.

If you're on Windows 10 Home where you can't turn off automatic updates (other than by disabling the Windows Update service), make sure that the connection type for your mobile connection is set to "Metered", then it won't download updates automatically.

wkRemapKeys doesn't perform low-level keyboard hooks, i.e. it doesn't take precedence before the key presses that are intercepted by the system such as the Windows key. In fact, it doesn't hook keyboard input at all; it simply redirects the game's code to say that different keys were pressed in some occasions. The system is still aware of the original key. Therefore that key has to be either hard-remapped like you said, or disabled in the system. Also note that key combinations such as Ctrl+Alt+Delete can not be blocked by any program, no matter how low-level the hook is.

Means you're missing a specific DLL that the module depends on. Visual C++ runtime maybe.
It's likely wkPackets.dll which was required by older versions, but is now out of date and causes problems if present.
If you're using The Wheat Snooper to host, you must update to 2.9.3, else it will keep trying to downgrade the module and cause you issues, such as skipped packets. Also, older versions will stop working after January 1st, 2016.

What about transitions between load screens? Are they still slow? Does ESC work for quicker exit?  So used to that.
Transitions are faster than in the original game, but still use fade-outs. Escape doesn't work.

Does rank system works on This remastered version?
Yes, it uses global steam leaderboards (points). However, there's no one online.
