Your ban was well worth it as your post that earned the ban was legendary, ano.  I salute you.  You called a petulant child exactly what he is.  It is a crime on tus to call a spade a spade though.

You know what works fine and is a tried and tested system?  TUS tournaments.  The functionality is even already integrated into the site you are typing on.  How convenient.  It wouldn't hurt to support this site, you know, because it has kept activity and this community alive for so long.

Can TUS's map database please be integrated into Hosting Buddy the way wmdb's always has?
Basically every map on tus is already up on wmdb.  If there is one that isn't, you can always upload it over there.  Seems simpler than the alternative.  What's the problem?

TUS Discussion / Re: 2v2 Group TUS
March 16, 2014, 10:48 PM
From Komo:

Obviously people have lost passion for clan league because they never really believed in worms, or worms itself.  I left worms as an experiment, to see how the community would do without me.  Back in previous clan leagues 2vs2 was very popular, but everyone is out for themselves now.  I see so many selfish players, I wont name names, but some wormers from poland who notch in bng trying to be self-riteous about what they know and not give credit to the inventor.  I invented passion, the idea of playing worms purely for the love of doing it.  Other wormers just took that idea of passion and crafted it to fit their own ideals.  b2b was made by me out of my love for bng and was stolen by people in a mad quest for power, again i won't name names, but mostly wormers whose names rhyme with dean and crankster.  This community no longer has any soul so i would not rather take part in it.

I would come back to worms if battle race was added to classic league.  In for peja's idea.

After being in a chat group on Skype with RichUK and Co, I don't ever want to be in one of those again.
Um, what about RichUK made you feel like it was going to be a good experience?  That guy is about as strange as they come, and that is putting it incredibly mildly.  I bet being in a skype group with him is tantamount to ear rape.

Schemes / Re: New weapons in hysteria
March 14, 2014, 09:23 PM
I agree with avi.  In rope schemes (not shopper) and elite there is a higher attainment level for overall skill.  You can only get so good at hysteria before you hit the glass ceiling and encounter diminished returns.  You can always rope faster, more consistently; or alternatively develop an aptitude for game planning in elite.  In hysteria, you inevitably encounter the usual stalemate, where a stroke of good luck with wind can turn the whole match around.  Without the ability to really get better, boredom sets in and I believe avi is correct when he says people who only learn hysteria don't stick around.  Hell, out of us wormers who have stuck around this game for 10+ years, its not a surprise that each and every one of us can rope.  The purely default players, the endos, psydomes, dweebs of the world have all left the game behind forever.  Even on wormnet, the names I see the most (or saw, more accurately) were the ones who play rope schemes.  Take it with a grain of salt, I guess.  I think the same can be said of shopper, you can only get so good.  There isn't any avid shopper players who play nothing but shopper year in and year out.  I don't think hysteria will kill worms.  But rope schemes will extend its longevity.
