Todays game featured two newcomers, poney and ahgpeac, both of these guys show great BR promise in the scheme.  As far as the game, slayer jumped out to a monster early lead as everyone else basically blocked themselves into oblivion behind him.  Slayer seemed to be a mile ahead, but poney, ahgn and I never gave up and continued the chase.  Adnan did his usual and lagged out, and I completed a massive comeback after being 4-5 turns behind, culminating with an evil double baseball bat to finally snatch the lead in the homestretch.

I've got a few one minute BnG games that aren't going to make the cut into my video, so I thought I'd start it out here by posting them up, they are either one turn or two turn plops, enjoy.  There isn't anything amazing or standout here besides the fact that I vanquish them so quickly.

Goodbye to a f@#!ing rock and roll legend, David Bowie passed away today at age 69 after a yearlong bout with cancer.

Got the first game of the new year in the books, SiD marched off to an early lead and was a frontrunner for the entire match.    Managed to reel him in at the very end for a tie.  Sniper dropped in his first match, unfortunately and also featured a cameo of the one and only MIGHTY TANER.  Taner was no so mighty, however, but finished a somewhat mighty 4th.

Slayer's birthday game!  He turned 31 today so we decided to do a 1v1v1v1v1v1 in his honor.  It also featured newcomer tita.  After a false start with a map unsuitable for 1v1v1v1v1v1, we got going on  a better map for the second try.  We were pressed for time as I had to commentate CWT, so I flagged early to expedite the process.  Unfortunately tita desynched halfway through, so 2 competitors failed to finish.  Slayer put up a valiant fight, but in the end Kory won with a mad sprint to finish.

I guess I never considered it, and since there is a lack of interest, but if team17 could hypothetically release a worthy game, would TUS host a league for it? 

I never understood if TUS was created specifically for WA, or if MI is even willing to put in the effort to adapt the league for a new game format. 

I assume that any responses to this will be that the new game will suck, which I agree with, it will suck; but the question remains, should TUS diversify if the opportunity presents itself?  Or would it just dilute the community we have here already?

It would be nice to attract people to WA that wouldn't otherwise play it, that seems to be the only way to draw people at this point, organically playing a 17 year old game at this point seems few and far between in terms of people picking it out of the blue. 

Excellent league game today, we were met with a few newcomers, scribe, streetworckout, and xrayez.  I rushed out to a huge early lead but the resilient kiwi scribus maxiumus reeled me in after i choked repeatedly towards the end.  He took the lead in the home stretch but I snagged a share of first with him.  Slayer played spoiler by plopping himself and Kory, earning him the DQ, and leaving Kory a lifetime of regret about this race.
