Non-modded W:A refuses to launch if the monitor doesn't support 640x480 fullscreen, which is required for the frontend. For a HD monitor it might very well be the case.
The best I can recommend is to combine wkD3D9Wnd and wkSuperFrontendHD for windowed mode and somewhat bigger menus.

No you didn't, that's just fall damage activating due to worms not yet entering idle animation. Is not related to achieving the hit into the center of the worm, the grenade wasn't even close to it.

00:00:22 same situation with a bit more fly height resulting in 60+ damage, and then 00:00:44 where I waited for recover animation to stop
