oh so it's about the two rankings? the season rank and overall rank? it prevents the overall rank from getting in easy just by playing the minimum games with a crappy win%? is that it?

what is the point of a win% requirement?  whatever way you get the points to get a high rank, what does win% matter?  If you only play really skilled and high rated players, then your win% might not be amazing, so don't punish these kind of players...  Maybe I just have to hear the other side of the argument to understand, so if anyone wants to explain, i'll hear it.

"x games per week" I also don't see the point of having this restriction.  I agree with darkz

as for any best-of-X, I'd like to hear the reasoning for making them worth different than single games because I'd feel that they should just be treated equally.

1 month seasons I never really liked, always seemed too short, never enough time for lazy people during playoffs.. so 2 months should be good, or something around that if others agree.  if it's 2 months, then I think I can understand going with top8 for playoffs... so I can agree on that.  also if it's 2 months, 40-50 games minimum should be fine.

if people noob-bash, doesn't the amount of points they get just get smaller and smaller so that it's not worth it anymore?  has this ever been a problem?

I dunno about that play 40% of all players requirement.. sounds hard for some people maybe due to timezones or whatever... but I guess I'm not totally against it if everyone wants it.

reporting best of N games or single reports, both seem fine, I don't think it matters either way, so just pick one way.

50 game minimum for playoffs seems ok I guess.. maybe just Top 4 though?  should encourage people to play games and fight for the spots, and it's first season.. so maybe expand to more in future if needed?

partytime# would be best, for sure.  just gotta remember it.  I've been using it lately anyway.

10 games limit per season?  well how long is a season?  and only 4 in a week?  hmm, they seem a bit strict from the start.. maybe expand them for first season?  just a thought

avoid saved maps, yes please ;d

chakkman seriously?  avi's post was actually very normal and he brought up some points that directly answered your argument that maps would be only 2 turns.  it seems more like you are the one who is unable to hear his opinion just because he usually has crazy posts.  there was no ego in his post.

not necessarily.  in rrtt, yes you have to be faster than your opponent, but you also have more chances to mess up and still win since you have 3 fresh tries to win.  in 30s rr, you rely on your first worm.  you still have to be faster than your opponent to try to win, but any mistake is way more costly in this style.  it adds more pressure and forces players to be more consistent.
