Okay, I don't know if I am the only one, but I get the shiny "new" posts in every clan even though there is no new message in the public area at all. Is the system also triggering "new" when there are new private msgs in the private sections of the clans? I hope you can fix that. D:

I don't know if it's the same Anubis, but when someone edits a post, it shows up as "new" and it could be something as little as changing "a" to "an" and you don't even notice it...

Are we talking about the message boards like this? Or some place else?

I've noticed it too. It's private messages I guess. Usually on clan boards.

It's the private forums which is to do with the forum technology.
Not familiar at all with SMF.
Could download a plugin or something for it?

It would show the "new" when someone edits a post, I have seen that personally so it's not that, and even if it did I checked ALL threads in AeF forum and noone edited something there since the last time I visited.

I made some screens to better showcase this.

Here it shows me that there should be something new.


So I click on it...


Nothing found so I check the forum itself...


WTF?! WHY? And this happens ALL the time on all clan boards I always need to manually press "mark all as read".
I sometimes miss new posts because of this since 99% there is not something new and I automatically press mark as read.

I hate that when I enter a topic, then I won't be directed to the last message but somewhere to the last page of the topic :/ It was working good, but for about a half year it doesn't work somehow

yeah, i always see AeF as new threads...

but there never is...
