Description:
Welcome to the third public Abnormal cup!

Here comes the long-awaited third public Abnormal cup. :)
The cup is open to everyone, so don't hesitate to join it even if you're already familiar to the scheme or if you're barely learning about the concept right now.
Games are bo5 in group stage and knockouts (upon agreement, finals and bronze match may be played bo7). Don't be put off by how long this may sound: an average Abnormal game lasts for 4-6 minutes, therefore a bo5 Abnormal match shouldn't last more than a single Team17 game. Games generally end in 3-4 turns.

So, tell me... What is Abnormal?

Think outside the box, break mental barrier of suiciding your own worms, cause mayhem by decimating your troops!

Well, the main idea behind Abnormal is to kill your worms in the most efficient way. It's a really fun scheme developed and promoted by van with a help from RoH members (special thanks go to KRD and DarkOne). You can read all about it HERE; and, if you're completely new to the scheme, these strategies would come in handy. The scheme is extremely addictive and has become an insta-favourite for many wormers, try out it once and you'll see for yourself! It requires a lot of swift, creative thinking and pretty much a flawless execution of your plan, all that in under 45 seconds - often leading to hilarious results/mistakes.

How about maps?

Play on islands and avoid girders at any cost! The best results are achieved on semi-complex maps.

(Description originally by van; taken from his previous Abnormal cups - sorry for copying them like that.)

Knockout

Congratulations for making it to KO stage.

Each round will have to be played within 1-week-long deadlines. Please play your games in time.

Have fun! ;)

Have fun. :)

Signups should last for around a week.

16 to 24 would be ideal, yeah. Otherwise we'll have to try looking for 12.

I'm fine with lengthening signups for a week more, but not further.

Waiting for a 16th guy and then we can start. :)

I can't say I have network access at school. :)

There, paired; please play your games in time, 3 weeks should be enough by far.

Ae Hollander, 20:00 lokale tijd vandaag ok?

Translation: Ae Dutchie 20:00 local time today, ok?

And Marian, when are you available?

LeTotalKiller

Maybe I could play the games quickly today too then.

As for Marian, didn't get any answer to my PM, but it seems he's available on weekends at around 13-14 GMT, i.e. not in the evening (from what I've seen this weekend, at least).
