Description:
Alright folks, to continue with the Battle Race Time Trial challenges I'm presenting you my very first Battle Race map made in the fashion of Husky's and Nail's BR maps.
Map is not too hard, it should be playable to most of the players who likes Battle Races. There are few tricky jumps tho, but that's on you to discover.  ;)

Same rules as always:
Start on START, make it through the whole map in one turn and your run time is counted when your worm "sits" on the FINISH.
Use the scheme that is provided. (You may add inf teleport to be able to start new turn if you fall.)
Feel free to use any shortcuts if you find them.
Skipwalking or any glitches are not allowed.

Add-on: When reaching FINISH do not lose your turn due to falling from too high.

I wonder what's the etymology of the term battle race. I like it as it is though.

Yeah, what we do here is actually a Walk Race, it's a variety of the original Battle Race cause it's without the weapons. In original Battle Race there are some weapons that are used to put back your opponent or to make a progress in the retreat time.. I guess that's where the name comes from..  ;)

I'd love to see walk-race using fast walk. I think it is much more fun than normal walk. It gives the feel of speed!

mmmh I couldnt be assed verifying, but wouldnt that make positionning for precise jumps harder?

doesn't fast walk process start from normal speed then getting speed up? I think those tiny walk to find the best place won't be any difference from normal walk.

By positioning I don't only mean stopping and tapping the arrows. Positioning can be also releasing the arrow at the right time. And that would be harder with fastwalk, IMO. But I don't know shit about worm movement tbh.

Go easier maps, fast walk and 150% speed mode. I used to play that variation and was quite fun, different tho.

Ok, since there was not much "time attacks", I won't expand the deadline.
If I receive new records until the challenge is over, I'll expand it for 2 or 3 days more.

I've been playing a lots of kaos these days and there are lots of walking/jumping with fast walk in it, and yeah fast walk is a feature I've suggested to Husk when he was hosting "Fruity Jumps" or the other BR challenge.. I also think we should try it in the next one. But I also think it should be just a try. Not as default in any way.. Maybe even that TransparentWatersWK if it gets legal, why not? ;o
Also yeah, It's more accurate if we call it "Walk Race Time Trial", I agree with that.
Also, I'm in process of making a new "Walk Race" map called "Rock n' Roll Walk Race" and I could host another WR challenge if somebody already didn't wanted to do the same?
Drums and a guitar and some speakers..  Looking good by now..  ;x
