April's TTTR 03

btw... sorry for being late with this... time of holydays... really didn't had time for making map
I made graphics in hurry so those are not in same style like on older ones.

looks like I have to kick-start things again

I'll write my time but feel free to subtract 1s for the warlock :p

IMPORTANT: Can we START with rope pointing up? I didnt just to make sure but it was really tedious lowering rope before each trial :s

EDIT: missed a clean one with the clock at 17 on a 2-shadow dragon   I got some ideas about a faster outlaw approach at the end, I'm thinking this can go to 15s. I also drew the attention to a few more ppl of the challenges

Thanks, I enjoyed that I managed to make that last outlaw right

The only one I didnt do combo was the arch after the fly but its impossible since you must go to left wall to prepare for the arch.


Also, the plunge to touchdown can be faster but I risked there since I was going short.

We should make everyone do it like in ttrr, where you must start with neutral-position rope since we started it now

EDIT: f@#! it, I just realised it is possible to do the arch straight away but I really think its 100% impossible to achieve the perfect fly+grab near the corner+arch in one go while trying to go fast :/

btw after arch, you can do outlaw from place where you finished it and make dragon from lower position.

With all that, map is possible to be done in less then 15s

btw, rope should be str8 on start (180 degree angle.)

in theory yes but if I dont see someone not only do it, but do it fast as well, I wont believe its doable realistically. In theory maybe it works but doing a fast dragon from down there is statistically (how many times you're gonna be fast till that point and then achieve the fast, low dragon) minimal to zero  


lets see if someone goes for it. i believe more time could be made by doing dreamer but thats not a guarantee really

+1 for that ... I tried few times but I don't have time to make result nearly good as yours

I made this time lying on the couch with the laptop on my lap, which is totally uncofortable

fly to arch: doable but difficult to position  and time the fly satisfyingly and its not too much faster than confidently  roping to left wall

arch to outlaw: doable and fast but

outlaw to dragon: simply not practical for me, couldnt get the proper position for the swing consistently and doing the outlaw there meant there was no other position for the dragon but the lower corner so I gave up on it.

I'll be very impressed if anyone can make it happen in a record time, i definitely cant

I havent tried for a better time but might do later tonight, its disappointing to not have anyone else even trying to post a time 

I'm not patient enough to try this map again and again to win 1-2 seconds, but at least I was able to do pump dreamer which gave me additional 2 seconds, so my time is not that shameful

I think any1 who will read this discussion won't even try to finish this map, especially after Desetroyah said "I made this time lying on the couch with the laptop on my lap" This challenge is for sick people

I dont get it, why's that? I just meant that it was not a position I ever play in. (my gf took all the chairs cause she teaches English so I had nothing to sit on a desk properly and play )

Well, everything I've read is: "it was easy to get 17s", while for most of players 20s is far from easy. It reduces the enthusiasm

hmm, wasnt my intend really...truth is I'm the "newbie-who-practices-a-lot-cause-he-wants-to-get-better" here, not even close to the best around here :/

I was just trying to make this a more relaxed place than the ttrr challenges were they fight to death, if one doesnt pass everyone they dont post their times and no one speaks to each other apart to say "I ruled yesterday", "I managed to beat you", and "aw yeah" XD (no offence ttrr-ppl, i love you )

Yes, I wish all people post their replays even if they are not perfect. Looks like there is the same situation So why don't you try TS TTRR Challenge?

hmm, never tried TS roping before and I'm really trying to unlearn some bad habits I got when i started roping so that I can play ttrr first and theeeeeeen I'll attempt confusing myself more with TS XD

PS:can u please pm me the replay of your time in ts? I'm very curious and I love watching replays of good roping

Dunno why the creator decided to close replays, but it will be open in 2 days And I also don't play with TS, I just can do good inlaws.. oops
