If this is a Roper the way it should be, then it already would be like this? But it isn't, so it shouldn't, but nice Cup :)

I'll give it a go..but blocking allowed?

;O x 100

Blocking has always been allowed on worms2. Its simple to avoid being blocked but takes more skill to block someone and even more skill to get unblocked quickly. Who is against adding more skill to a scheme?

How many players do you want for this, shady?

I would like a large sample size to see how much more fd and the rule change effects the game.

with 16 players we would get 4 groups of 4 players in each of them (= doesn't that sound good?

W2 had destructible terrain, which made blocks a lot less unlikely to happen. And also, there is absolutely no time for knocking unless the crate is very-very close - it just became annoying after a while I guess. There is a reason why blocking became forbidden in ropers - I'm just not oldschool enough to know.

Not really, on w2 a nade blown inside a worm on the ground against terrain made it quite easy to block because the circle made by the destruction of that land and the worm ending up at the edge.
