Description:
Alright, folks! It's time for the cups you've been voting for!
Walk for weapons was the clear winner in the polls, so we'll start off with that.
For those of you who don't yet know Walk for weapons, here's a small description:
http://worms2d.info/Walk_for_WeaponsFor clarity: a worm must stand on a weapon box itself or standing on a worm that is standing on a weapon box.
You may use weapons midjump as long as the jump was started from the corresponding weapon box
If you break a rule and your opponent says you did, then you must skip a turn. Not skipping a turn will lose you that particular round.
If you break a rule and damage your opponent for more than 10 points, you must damage yourself for roughly the same amount of damage instead of skipping your turn.
If you kill a worm of your opponent, you must kill one of your own worms with roughly the same amount of health the next turn (you can use worm select to do that, but keep in mind, they are limited!)
Now for some scheme specific rules:
This cup will be played with an anti-forting rule;
You're not allowed to use the same weapon box more than 3 times in a row. Of course, anybody can forget how many times they've used a particular weapon box, so
if your opponent has used a weapon box 3 times, you must give your opponent a warning about this before the 4th time can occur. If you use a weapon box a 4th time in a row while you were warned, then you lose that round by default.
The scheme I've uploaded here is different from other you might have played.
This scheme is the standard scheme for this cup. If you wish to play with a different variation of WFW, that's alright, provided that
- You and your opponent both agree on the scheme
- The new scheme also has only 3 worm selects
During the group phase, the games will be best of 1. You'll start the game with 4 worms each. The games will be played on a map that both players agree on. If you and your opponent can't agree on a map, then post here and a map will be picked for you.
The knockout phase will be best of 3. If you and your opponent can't agree on maps during the knockout phase, then each player will have one pick. If the score is 1-1 after that and you still can't agree on a map for the third round, then post here and a map will be picked for you.
And finally, a note for activity in cups. If you can't reach your opponent for your game in a normal fashion in one week, then odds are you won't find them in the second week. At this point, you need to
arrange your game. That means sending a PM on this site, telling him
one day and
one time that you will be in AG/PT.
Do not wait for your opponent to do this, be pro-active in this.
