Description:
Welcome to the Plop War cup. :)

Plop Wa... t?
Weapon-wise, we can easily compare it to the Full Wormage: numerous weapons are available with infinite supply, including Super Sheep, Magic Bullets or HHGs. But the scheme is of course more than a free-for-all weapon party: the 8 worms each player gets to play with have infinite health supply, which means they can only die from drawning. Easy as pie, you may think. But worms are anchored, and can merely move around with 2 ropes with limited swinging. And, on top of that, maps are specifically designed for killing to be hard to perform.

All right. So, what do the rules boil down to?

  • 8 worms per player.
  • Games are bo3 in the group stage, and bo5 in knockouts.
  • The scheme does have a rule that needs to be enforced humanly: you may not use the same weapon two turns in a row. It would otherwise be too easy if all you had to do was trying over and over to kill some blocked worm with your Super Sheep until it actually works. So if you break that rule, you will have to skip your next turn, and of course play with another weapon the turn after (a SS-SS-skip-SS combination implies a second skip penalty, in other words). If you won the game thanks to a cow, you automatically lose it and the win becomes your opponent's.

What about maps? You said specific maps were to be used, but which ones?
Maps from this pack (besides Splash! 09) may be used in this cup.

What if a draw happens in a group?
If players A and B end up with the same stats, but have to be tied in order to know which of them can proceed (if they're both 2nd) or in which order they should proceed (if they're both 1st), the player A vs. player B game's results will be considered to determine which of them have higher precedence in proceeding. So for example, if player B won against player A and both player A and player B tied as 2nd, then player B proceeds to the knockout stage.
