Description:
Welcome to Abnormal public cup #6!Abnorwhat?Think outside the box, break mental barrier of suiciding your own worms, cause mayhem by decimating your troops!
Basically you have to kill your worms in the most efficient way, and as fast as possible. Abnormal is a really fun scheme developed and promoted by van with a help from RoH members
(special thanks go to KRD and DarkOne). You can read all about it
HERE; and, if you're completely new to the scheme,
these strategies would come in handy. The scheme is extremely addictive and has become an insta-favourite for many wormers, try out it once and you'll see for yourself! It requires a lot of swift, creative thinking and pretty much a flawless execution of your plan, all that in under 45 seconds - often leading to hilarious results/mistakes.
Sounds cool. How will this cup go on?First off, the cup is open to everyone, so don't hesitate to join it even if you're already familiar to the scheme or if you're barely learning about the concept right now.
This cup is also
2vs2, so choosing your partner wisely can do all the difference (I may, however, have a say when certain teams don't suit me, e.g. because at least one of the players composing it isn't consistent enough in playing his/her games). Each player gets to play with
1 team of 6 worms.
Games are
bo5 in group stage and knockouts. Don't be put off by how long this may sound: an average Abnormal game with 12 worms shouldn't last longer than 8 minutes, therefore a bo5 Abnormal match shouldn't require more time than a Team17 game. Games generally end within a very few turns.
Where can I find maps?Randomly generated maps are used. They should be island maps, and bridges are to be avoided at any cost; the best results are achieved on semi-complex maps.
What if a draw happens in a group? If players A and B end up with the same stats, but have to be tied in order to know which of them can proceed (if they're both 2nd) or in which order they should proceed (if they're both 1st), the player A vs. player B game's results will be considered to determine which of them have higher precedence in proceeding. So for example, if player B won against player A and both player A and player B tied as 2nd, then player B proceeds to the knockout stage.
Who won previous Abnormal cups? Whom shouldn't I mess with?Abnormal cup #1: OrangE.
Abnormal cup #2: DarkOne.
Abnormal cup #3: piki1802.
Abnormal cup #4: Husk.
Abnormal cup #5: Worm_gamer
Good luck and have fun!
