What's the sense of this "rule"?
« on: November 04, 2010, 11:44 AM »
What you need to join the "New Elite Community"

- TUS-Karma at plus. (:
- Age 18+

I mean basically that means people like Shyguy can't join the community because they are not 18? That's not really fair in my opinion, since humans are all individuals you can't just say all above 18 are "ok" and all under 18 are not. There are millions of facts around the world that younger people can be as mature as the ones who are adults. This also counts for people that are older than 18 and act like fools. Don't wanna name anyone here but you most likely know who I mean. ;)

In my opinion there should be held tryouts, both to test skills and social skills if you want some kind of 'elite' community.

Another thing is the Karma thing, sure it can be useful to see if someone is always acting bad but seriously, the Karma system is totally flawed. I could (I think) -1 anyone once per day, right? To put it in another way, it's biased and doesn't really reflect anything. Except that the person in doubt doesn't have a good reputation and that can be because of many things, not sportsmanship or a general bad behavior in games.

Just my opinion. :)

But in the end it's your project! Don't get this wrong, I respect your aim and just wanted to point something out.

Also, what happens if a person gets -1 Karma while being in the community? :p

I am sure I am just exaggerating this, SPW wouldn't reject people just because of a minor low Karma issue, but I think it should be discussed. (:

"Age 18+"

Thats just because of the prizes, esp. payed in $. We dont want to give underage people cash, just law and politic thing.

"TUS-Karma at plus (: "

We dont mean that serious, thats why a smiley is at the end. I dont care about TUS-Karma actually, but if someone has several hundred smites in his account, then its 100% not a lie. ;)

Ok, thanks for the clarification. I knew you were joking about the Karma thing. :)

About the age, that's a logical reason.

You can close this if you want.
