We have experienced the desynchronization in the worms worst xd possible moment, in one of the last turns of the long T17 when the water was very high.
Summary of the critical moment at 32:50:

- mm had 1 worm, patsy and a homing pigeon.
- che had 2 worms, EQ and a homing pigeon.
- mm's worm was safe from EQ in the drill hide (I think).
- che's worm was going to kill mm's worm with pigeon, but unfortunately it turned out that they couldn't reach the edge of map. That's when the desync appeared.
- Having nothing else to do, they would probably have torched in order to open to the edge of map.
- In the next turn, mm would have killed the edge worm with patsy.
- The other worm would have not had any chance to kill mm's worm (unable to pigeon from the center of the map, mm was safe from the EQ)
- In the next turn of mm, we could have killed the last worm with a pigeon from the girder, but we needed a blue wind for that. Blue wind was unlikely, but you can't rule out that possibility.

Anyways I think you couldn't declare the clear winner at the moment of the drop.

if the question is 'who here won'? no one

possibly rope lets worm squeeze out that one way block, if so then gg che wins
possibly mm shoots patsy next turn if che torch out/tele out, but if patsy shot from girder, EQ kills mm. patsy from leaf doesn't look 100%, so still seems che advantage.
possibly EQ even kills mm in that drill leaf hide, maybe someone can test.

most scenarios seem to be in che's favor, so I'd lean more to their side, but it's still not enough to grant a win either side in my opinion.

other mods can weigh in.
