Semi All-Rounder for hire?

I was looking for feedback/support/criticism on an idea:

I was thinking for a while, why am I bored of playing Clanners recently? I was thinking, cFc is the best clan i've ever been in, they are the most understanding and caring honest players i've had the privilege of playing worms with, so much so I am even sharing a house with a member of cFc at this time present, but surprisingly enough me and lalo have played less than 50 clanners together in the 9-10 months he's been living here.

I have came to the conclusion I can never find the "right moment" to play this game due to my hectic schedule of working/producing music, I never have time to take part in the Playoffs because of work commitments and it doesn't help I generally don't enjoy the pressure of Playoffs anyway.

Recently, i've been joining cFc in TuS, playing some clanners, then leaving cFc in TuS again, at 1st it was just to annoy some people, but then i've been thinking, why can't I just be a free man for hire, if theres a clan online asking for a clanner, they can't get one because there are 4-5 clans online, but only 1 member, I could join the clan on TuS, play a clanner, then leave again after the games have been reported, I would never take part in any Playoffs, I could enjoy the game for fun, I am average or above, skillwise, at every classic scheme for TuS, and I would never pick, I would let my partner or opponents pick the scheme, always.

Does anyone think this would be lame? I just want some honest fun, I would try my best to win all games, and have calm conversations with everyone without getting angry or being a bad loser like I have in the past, if I was able to do this I think I could get more involved with this game again, as a music producer sometimes I run out of ideas or generally need a break for an hour or 2, and if I see someone looking for clanner in AG I could help out

I know this idea may scare a few people, I fully understand how people would think with the right abuse this could be a bad thing, but with the clanner crisis at certains times of the day because of timezones etc I think I could help clanner activity and generally people could enjoy this league more, I feel I am an honest enough person/player to make this a good thing, does anyone like this idea? Because I want to go ahead with it.

Some other games/sports have "free agents" which is similar to this.

Id hire you but the clan im in doesnt play clanners huahuzhua. But in all reality, to me, there is nothing wrong with that. Do your thing Dave, and maybe get on msn once in awhile, i have been using that lately.
On another note, I remember a time when theone and i used to pretend to be you and sammyj or something stupid and win clanners for sfx

aliasing was cool once upon a time, now you can just be a mercenary for hire. GET IT DAVE

I had MSN on my laptop, but since I reinstalled windows to use it for producing, I don't use net on it anymore, I don't use MSN on this PC as I have problems with it, i'll try to figure out something.

Professor, I do not want to alias, I am not doing anything illegal, nor do I want to, I don't want to cheat, I want good clean honest fun to make this game interesting.

If I can't find something, then I probably won't play again.

im with you there komo, i havent played in 6 months, i like being a part of the community more than i do actually playing worms, lol.

Clanners are *fun* for a reason you know? I play clanners when I feel connected to my clan mate. Otherwise it is just plain 2vs2 games. When you see people asking for clanner, you could ask them if they'd like to play single 2vs2 instead.

On the side, you asked for a music forum and 4-5 other forum requests popped out. How would you handle such mess in clanning? What happens when you as a player for hire and me (quiting dP on TUS just for clanners) play a game for CF? How about SPW and Mablak play hysteria for HoN? Now you will set a rule only 1 player for hire must take part in each clanner. So, I hire barman to play ttrr for dP. The whole point that the points getting earned this way are not the true stats of a clan.

Make a clan with people at your time zone or get online at w:a peak hours.

Good post komito.

I would point out another problem. All time statistics is an elite CFC, CKC, mm, ps, CF, ES, TDC

Other clans are just weaker .. Almost all the top players play in those clans.
The problem is that the new clans, new players can not even make the competition equal (and so probably will continue)

Here it would be nice if more clans with similar skills.

Practical problem: none of any clan's stats would be indicative of anything (maybe only of how many good players have been "hired" for games

)

Also, what MI said. Its a matter of winning/playing with a person you feel you belong to a team (at least for me).

Other than that, I doubt there'd be people who'd opt for that anyways.

I'm sure you're 100% aware of how personal "pride" in this game reflects, translates and is multiplied as clan "pride". Not sure the satisfaction would be the same if your team were to win by using others who simply happened to be there.

Just my opinion here

Don't like the idea. I'm 99,998% sure CF would never invite a freelancer just for a couple games. And I'd imagine many other clans wouldn't want it either.

Tchaikovsky and Strauss were music producers.

Yes, if somebody has the passion for it, do it, it's okay, that's cool, but only because I love worms and I play in tournaments doesn't mean I say that I'm a gaming professional, I hope you get what I'm talking about.

Go and watch Nutcracker. And no, it's not a videoclip, it's a ballet and the stuff you hear in the background, now that is music.

As for the topic itself... it sounds weird. Kind of takes away the magic of clanners. But I guess there are no rules against it, I don't think it's very nice, clans generally are a group of buddies playing together or I don't know.
