Oh wow those things are annoying.  I would shoot it out of my tree in about two seconds.  I thought my woodpecker i had at my house was bad.....people actually keep these things as pets pizza?

respect all life. lol.. why people has to kill everything? Maybe animals are angry too about all that loud people, but they never shoot us.

kookaburras are wonderful. Sure, they can be annoying sometimes. I heared them a lot when traveling australia. But after some minutes, they stop. Crows are way more annoying. And also a woodpecker near your house. Call the animal service and they will replace that bird. Woodpeckers are useful, like crows, kookaburras etc.

You live in the civilisation and not in the bush. Call and wait if you cant stand it.

Indeed a nice bird, pizza. Its name in german is " lachender Hans", which just means " laughing Hans"

Today I rescued a baby crow. My hunter cat had brought her home and she was in shock and couldn't move. Took her outside and she fled. landed a bit farther, hopefully no cats there.

I blame SPW for off-topic! He brought up crows!

I don't know how things are run in switzerland, it sounds pretty nice though.  If I called animal control because of a woodpecker that was annoying me, I would get laughed at.  Plus, if it allows me to shoot it, I am shoring up the genetic superiority of the species by removing a weak link ala Darwin.

lmao!! yeah, i remember doing work a customers home, and couple raccoonz that were obviously rabid, being they were out in the day light were up in their tree, i think 3 of them... and the people had dogs they could not even bring outside to the bathroom because of it...

they called animal control in that situation and pretty much were told to f@#! off....

No its illegal to keep Native wildlife as pets... and they are not annoying at all they are usally very silent birds and only do there call every now and then, usally when you here a bunch of them laughing it means rain is coming.

You would only get laughed at because the culture in America & UK, is pretty much bullshit and selfish, they don't give a f@#! about other species living on this planet, most people of origin living in these countries are selfish.

Reminds me of this time we were on holiday and I got friendly with a big group of people, and like, the "main guy" was such an ass, and of course, the girls loved that (cuz they were c@#!s too tbh), but point is, at night the little prick ran up to a defenseless duck and kicked it, snapping it's neck and killing it almost instantly...

I can't remember who it was but someone got him later and gave him a right kickin for it, little f@#!er deserved it obviously.

I don't even kill spiders or wasps or anything, always glass & an old letter and out the window/door... I don't like them but I don't dislike them, I respect all life, I can only actually bring myself to hurting other humans who I feel deserve it, i'll occasionally slap a fly or a wasp that won't f@#! off though...

Personally, I love the sound those birds make, but then again I love most audio in general lol.

What the hell kind of ducks do you have that don't run away when you get near them?  People must feed them all the time, because ducks I've seen won't let you get within 10 feet of them.  The pidgeons outside my Chicago condo though, you could straight up pick them up and shove them in a bag if you wanted, they have been fed so much they are friendlier than dogs.

I can only actually bring myself to hurting other humans who I feel deserve it, i'll occasionally slap a fly or a wasp that won't f@#! off though...

This I don't get, Dave.  So you would harm a sentient being over a non-sentient being?  If you respect all life, why would you hurt the only one (humans) with the capacity to experience feelings as a result?  The PETA f@#!s here in the USA get my blood boiling, they treat dogs like they are the equals of humans.  This simply isn't true.  There is a hierarchy of living organisms, like it or not.

To me this is a truly primitive way of thinking, it's extremely ignorant and selfish, the difference is, us, humans have the intelligence to know hurting other humans for "fun" or to "mock" or to "look cool" is a bad thing, animals who prey on other animals don't know better.

If I had to choose between a human psychopath who rapes and murders people, or a different species, i'd probably chose the other species.

Edit: But of course, if I had to choose between a human with the ability to improve life on Earth, over an innocent animal, i'd choose the human.

on the other side, you can smoke cigs or drinking alc legal with age 21. Nothing more to say.

Ahh, yes, if only we could be more like the Swiss over here in the USA, and not stand for anything. You see, ignorant people that don't know anything about the situation latch on to ideas from the media.  Intelligent people form their own opinions based on research.  In fact, gun ownership has very little to do with violent crime.  More than 75% of deaths occur from unlicensed READ: unlawfully owned firearms.  Just ask Australia.  I think at one point 9 out of 10 deaths from guns were from unlawful weapons.  Laws on gun ownership don't work for shit when half or more than half of all gun transactions occur under the table.  Just keep on watching your TV and let it teach you all about the world.  And enjoy speaking Russian when our ignorant presence leaves europe for good.  I'm sure Dmitry and Korydex will be good masters.
