My friends since pre-school winning the Norwegian grammy for best rock last year. They sing in norwegian,so bare with me

The vocalist,El-Gitarist and Perciuson is friends for 15 years atlest. One of the members in the band im playing in now won best rock in 97 in a former band called Poor Rich Ones. Anyway here they are.

English folk is nice, but this song just rocks

Drudkh (Ukraine) is widely recognized as one of the best BM bands of today, if not the best. I was thrilled when they made a cover of one of my favourite other bands, Sacrilegium from Poland. I think it combines the best of both, the production quality and skillful play of Drudkh and the 'sweeping' rhytm of Sacrilegium. There's a folkish part in there (3:30) as well as a sweet solo (, it's a great song:

One band I've also come to love in the past months is Krepulec from Poland. They play neofolk with a bit of a martial touch. I really love how they use the accordion, it makes the music swing and at the same time give it some extra romantic depth:

Mikael Akerfeldt, vocalist of Opeth, has, in my opinion, the best clean male voice I have heard. <3

This song is so beautiful, as is the entire album.. The album is Damnation by Opeth.
