How can a map be semi-edited? As soon as you make a single change, it has been "edited"

In my opinion, random generated elite maps are best and here is why.

1. You don't know what get. (Unless you check the editor).

2. The map is new for both opponent.

3. Saves time to edit a new map (Maps that are edited & saved are excluded).

4. No tampering with the map structure to favor one's own preference.

Here's the disadvantage of an edited elite map.

1. Takes time to edit.

2. Can be edited for advantage (Theory).

3. Can be played more than once by player (Speculation).

4. Maps can be quite complex and lead to camping.

made suggestion to 4.0 today:

From interview with T17 about WMD as e-sports:
"Maybe we would explore that and maybe we take a leaf out of Team Fortress' book and have the map symmetrical so everyone gets a fair advantages."
Therefore this suggestion to WA: ability to mirror (one side of a) random map, as to make a map that is identical on both sides.

I wouldn't prefer it myself, cos i like randomness in games xD But I was wondering..

why elite and not BnG? you picked the scheme where hides have less impact on the outcome of the game.

any complex island map that doesnt look like a mole shopper map is fine
