Yesterday I was telling rUN and rU` about my screen lag problem in WA, randomly, at any time, my screen/computer will just seem to pause and skip part of a second, this means for the duration of that time, nothing works or responds, it happens quite a lot and the problem seems to very slowly be getting worse, if this happens during a critical time of a game, like in Darts at the very moment of trying to activate drill, or in a Roper when scrolling or making a drop etc, it can ruin an entire game.

Anyway, these guys told me to open task manager and set worms to "High priority" which I did, and I can't say it's solved the problem indefinitely, however I didn't seem to get that lag even once for the rest of the night (I played for like another 2 hours).

I realized everytime I run WA(every time I join/host a game) I need to set this priority to high, does anyone know of any way to set this to high priority permanently because chances are I will forget about this a lot...

XanKriegor

What is the date of installation of your OS?

KinslayeR

I prefer wkantilag.dll

XanKriegor

С\Windows-->properties - creation date

But if you cant remember the date youself - may be it was some years ago so reinstall time has come. Old os tend to be full of shit.

TheKomodo

There is no such folder Xan.

I can go to Windows, right click and properties, but doesn't show "creation date".

I go to C\Windows and there is no folder or file called "creation date".

XanKriegor

First things first - what OS do you use?

XanKriegor

Yea its about time. Also try not to install much software before testing WA.

wkAntiLag.dll is a module that will do just that. Every time you run the game, wkAntiLag will set the priority of the process to high. I'm glad to know that someone else besides me (that was a long time ago though) has ever needed the module.
You can download it here: http://worms2d.info/WormKit
I'd like to note that even if you don't experience sporadic lags in-game on your system, it might still be a good idea to install wkAntiLag to avoid any occasional lagspikes (e.g., if a program in background suddenly required more resources)
Dec 30 2013 23:59:44 <StepS> windowed mode isn't the only thing you need about frontend
Dec 30 2013 23:59:49 <StepS> you need it to be actually bigger
Dec 31 2013 00:00:13 <StepS> it actually is very small on my 15-inch full HD screen
Dec 31 2013 00:00:25 <StepS> while running at 640x480 or stretched mode makes it fuzzy
Dec 31 2013 00:00:44 <StepS> this problem has been around since the Worms Armageddon's release and no one has even tried to beat it
