So I have a WWP installation on my pc (I am running Windows 10, just to clarify) and the game boots perfectly fine, but is extremely laggy in parts of the frontend. Text input boxes appear as normal for around a second when entering a submenu where they appear, and then completely white out, covering everything. When I attempt to play the game, it's just white, with audio playing. I can only assume this is a graphics driver/OS issue, but I haven't been able to find any information about it anywhere online, just fixes for WWPR. I thought I would come here for help, seeing as how WA and WWP are essentially the same game (they use the same codebase, my statement is valid).

Welcome! WA and WWP have the same code base but WA has received updates up until now but WWP died out. Is there a reason you want to try WWP?
Due to massive misunderstandings: MonkeyIsland refers to an island not a monkey. I would be a monkey, if my name was IslandMonkey meaning a monkey who is or lives on an island. MonkeyIsland is an island which is related to monkeys. Also there's been a legend around saying MonkeyIsland is a game. So please, think of me as an island or a game.

I want to play WWP for 2 major reasons: The new missions and Wormpot. A third, less important reason is because I'm just interested in the game (and I'm playing classic WWP, just to clear everything up)

WWP is pretty weak DLC for WA in my opinion.
All WWP missions can be played on WA:https://www.tus-wa.com/files/file-2966/
The game even has a small Wikipedia, but Worms Armeddon knowlege has more information.
Wormpot is an interesting thing, but online is dead in WWP, so it's not very useful.

Technically, Wormopaedia is not a wiki. It is a digital encyclopedia, and yes, it's small. Worms Knowledge Base on the other hand is a wiki and yes it's more info not only in numbers of pages, characters and bytes, but also because Wormopaedia is included as a web version, using the same server of the wiki.

Even when WWP was very active, few wormpots were actually used, and some of the wormpots are already available in WA. The others that are not yet may one day be included. There are few wormpots that I really miss in WA. And by the way, the system of WA to have features in the scheme is way better than wormpots system.

Anyway, I think nobody answered the question made, I think he wants to play WWP despite knowing that WA is infinitely better at this point.

if you just want an overview of them, you can watch speedruns of them https://www.speedrun.com/worms_world_party?h=All_Missions-Any_No_Mission_Skips&x=7dgv74d4-e8m6pjel.21d85npl
or some of the excellent marathon runs

besides a few things, most of these are already covered in the 3.8 update of WA, introducing extended scheme options

EDIT1: I think I can try to break down all of them, so here goes:
* Points for Weapons - I'm not sure if its happening in WA @.@
* All crates contain sheep - cheat in scheme settings
* Super sheep = aqua sheep - cheat in scheme settings
* Enable blood effects - cheat in scheme settings
* God Mode - cheat in scheme settings
* High damage unarmed combat - there are power settings in WA and WWP scheme editor, but idk what this means exactly, needs to be tested
* High damage firearms - there are power settings in WA and WWP scheme editor, but idk what this means exactly, needs to be tested
* High damage animals - there are power settings in WA and WWP scheme editor, but idk what this means exactly, needs to be tested
* High damage clusters - there are power settings in WA and WWP scheme editor, but idk what this means exactly, needs to be tested
* High damage engineers - there are power settings in WA and WWP scheme editor, but idk what this means exactly, needs to be tested
* High damage flame weapons - there are power settings in WA and WWP scheme editor, but idk what this means exactly, needs to be tested
* Super Rope mode - can be activated with 3.8 stuff / extended scheme options
* High damage explosives - there are power settings in WA and WWP scheme editor, but idk what this means exactly, needs to be tested
* Specialist Worm mode - yea, not happening. community has tried to emulate it before https://worms2d.info/Alt-F4 https://www.tus-wa.com/schemes/scheme-2352/
* No retreat time - can be set precisely in scheme settings
* Double strength health crates - health crates can be set precisely up to 255 health, but double that? huh... interesting. 255*2=510
* Wind effects most weapons - doable with 3.8 stuff / extended scheme options
* Energy or Enemy - not happening in WA
* Slippy mode - doable with 3.8 stuff / extended scheme options
* Sticky mode - doable with 3.8 stuff / extended scheme options
* Stay away from the edge - maybe it can be done with a custom mission using TerrainSync, but it'd be jank af
* Fort mode - can be emulated with house rules https://worms2d.info/Fort
* Falling really hurts, be careful out there - fall damage can be edited with an external scheme editor
* On the Moon mode - doable with 3.8 stuff / extended scheme options
* David and Goliath mode - not happening in WA
* No weapons, crates only - can be activated with 3.8 stuff / extended scheme options
* One shot, one kill - can be set precisely in scheme settings
* Double damage mode - doable with 3.8 stuff / extended scheme options https://www.tus-wa.com/schemes/scheme-4025/
* Crates, crates and even more crates - can be activated with 3.8 stuff / extended scheme options
* Using a weapon doesn't end your turn mode - can be activated with 3.8 stuff / extended scheme options
* Extra powered unarmed combat - there are power settings in WA and WWP scheme editor, but idk what this means exactly, needs to be tested
* Extra powered animals - there are power settings in WA and WWP scheme editor, but idk what this means exactly, needs to be tested
* Extra powered clusters - there are power settings in WA and WWP scheme editor, but idk what this means exactly, needs to be tested
* Extra powered fire weapons - there are power settings in WA and WWP scheme editor, but idk what this means exactly, needs to be tested
* Extra powered explosives - there are power settings in WA and WWP scheme editor, but idk what this means exactly, needs to be tested
* Everything you wanted to know about the contents of that crate - can't give crate spy at the start of the game in weapon settings, not happening in WA probably
* Twice the clusters - not happening in WA

Surely not. It would be amazing if we could play this in WA. Although in WWP almost nobody played this online, it is a bit complicated.

No, that feature mimics Worms 2 rope and not WWP rope. WWP rope is way more newbie friendly, completely OP. very looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong rope.

I'm not sure if these features work the same using RubberWorm/ESO feature. If they do work the same (what is very possible), I'd like to know the exact values of the Wormpots to reproduce well in WA.

Quote from: h3oCharles on December 09, 2024, 01:50 PM* Fort mode - can be emulated with house rules https://worms2d.info/Fort
In WWP the team file has its own fort. This is interesting, but not really necessary I think. Some forts were OP and other forts were very low tier. So usually players would pick the same 3-4 forts to play (like we see with Special Weapons).

In WWP, the crate shower of these wormpots were exactly like getting a crate shower from utility crate in WA, but since the very beginning of the match. You could pick Skip Go and Surrender in crates. In RubberWorm's crate shower it has some parachuting crates that take long to fall on the terrain, sometimes you have to wait the screen following the parachuting crate to play. The good part is that you can remove skip go and surrender from crates, selecting the probabilities you desire (this is good). In WWP crates spawn quicker, it's more dynamic and natural, but you cannot modify the probabilities and you can't modify the max of 5 crates on the map.

I feel that playing Only Crates in WA is not the same thing, really. I prefer in WWP.
